  1. yeah... nothing, updates bios, bunch of drivers in control panel , still crashes when I start cinebench.
  2. I've tried that, everything in my cp is up to date and seems to be properly working. I'm going to try to update my bios real quick (also computer crashed as I was typing this up, NICE now it crashes in light tasks too! )
  3. I went into bios earlier and just smashed that reset button as hard as I could thinking that would be it, but nope, stocks speeds n all still brings me to the good ol blue boi
  4. Basically, I was using my computer for basic tasks for the past couple months, no games no nothing but google and VB. Today I had friends over and decided to let them play some games on my computer since both of them own macs. They start up CS:GO, game runs for a couple of mins then BOOM BSOD, I shut off the computer and go into bios, I disable any small oc I had and just basically reset all settings. Pc start normally, I look at temps-all fine, Ill look at cpu speed-stock. I run cinebench and before the squares even appear B O O M. Basically I've tried everything and cannot for the love of god figure what is up. The code I got on the bsod read "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT". I have a tiny suspicion it could be my ps since it started making noises recently, but the noises could also just be the bearing of the fan Also one more thing, the pc crashes only when running something somewhat demanding, like video games and cine-bench.
  5. Thanks a lot, also one more thing, I see that you have a computer with a xeon x5670, Im planning on getting the x5675, is it a good cpu? anything I should know when I get mine?
  6. Yes you can, its a socket P I believe
  7. I have a dell Latitude D830 with a core 2 duo T8300, I want to upgrade that cpu, what other cpus would work on this machine (that are better than the T8300)? I tried looking but found no graphs that compare c2d mobile processors. Thank you for your time.
  8. Thanks, will try tomorrow and see what happens!
  9. I have tried disconnecting harddrives but they make no difference at all, and the bios is very simple too, it only has 3-4 different settings under the power options, some s3 s4 mode, usb power and auto power. Ive looked for fast boot but it was not there, now im starting to wonder if the powersupply has gone bad, but im not sure.
  10. No issues at all when running, sometimes (very rarely) it will turn off just fine.
  11. I have a dell XPS 730x from 2009 and it has this weird problem I cant resolve, so when ever I click the power button/winows key and shutdown button to turn the computer off, the computer will automatically reboot. So now I decide to press power button while in bios loading screen(which should just shut the machine off), but instead it reboots again..... The last thing I could think of that I can do in order to turn the computer off was to hold the power button for 10 seconds and guess what, nothing, just reboots again. I disconnected the hard drive, 2 extra sticks of ram, front panel io (so I can short the power on) and again, nothing but still rebooting. someone please help, this is really annoying since I need to unplug the computer from the outlet and Im positive its not good for the computer.
  12. Ok great! Thanks for the help!
  13. I already have that card on my watch list, but will the Q9400 work fine with it? Or should I just buy a new Pentium or Celeron?
  14. My parents recently bought a 50 inch 4K TV, and the computer that used to power the previous tv, cannot run YouTube at 4K. The specs of that computer: CPU=Core 2 Quad Q9400 with a mild overclock, GPU=GTX 560 SeaHawk Edition, Mobo=Asus p5k Premium and 8gb of ddr2 ram. I tried looking on Intel's website if the cpu can support 4k but found no information. If someone knows why I cannot run 4k, please tell me what part is bottle-necking and what GPU can run YouTube at 4k (no gaming just YouTube) under 200$. If you need more information or have questions about the problem, please ask. Thank you!
