  1. I tried to M-flash the bios, and it worked! Thank you for the advice man.
  2. Nope I have not. Coincidentally 3.8Ghz is the default turbo boost frequency for 6850k. But my overclock should override that setting anyways. I am starting to think it's a software issue.
  3. Hello Friends! I have had my 6850k running at 4.4Ghz stable for almost two years. But that's until I ran into the following problem a few days ago. The CPU seems to be stuck at 3.8Ghz in windows. I tried to reset the bios, and overclocked it back to 4.4Ghz. The bios clearly indicates the CPU is running at the desired frequency. However, once I boot into windows, the frequency drops down to 3.8Ghz on all cores except the preferred core at 4.0 Here is a topic I found on Reddit which describes the same issue I have. Cheers.
  4. Unfortunately, Corsair seems not to buy my explanation. I guess I will never buy anything from them
  5. Aha, the data breach. My experience with NCIX really was meh.
  6. I delete old emails every six months. I don't have it.
  7. Good afternoon people. My Corsair H100i V2 broke down yesterday, and I filed a ticket to Corsair. Apparently they require me to attach a copy of receipt. Here is the problem. I bought it from NCIX less than two years ago, but we all know the company went bankrupt. I can no longer find an electronic copy of the receipt. Unfortunately I did not download it from NCIX's website before their server went down. In one word, is there any possible way that I can retrieve an old NCIX receipt? ?
  8. Indeed, simply looking at these two beautiful cases gives me the sensation of constructing two custom loops for them.
  9. Both of them have the splendid fish tank/square box ish shape. I cant make a choice for now.
  10. I thought the airflow has been greatly improved on the Evolv X...
  11. Hello everybody! The trend of desktop ATX cases has been great so far this year. I am looking forward to upgrade my good old NZXT H440. As the title suggests, what case should I go for, the O11 Dynamic or Evolv X?
  12. I suppose the ivy bridge i7 has a standard tdp. Doesn't the spectre only features low tdp cpu? They will not match the performance with a 45w mobile i7.
  13. That makes a lot of sense. I think I am going to return the i7 8550u xps to get a more practical model with i5 because they basically performs to the same degree. The 360 degree hinge is a big selling point for me.
  14. I think the ultrabook is not providing the 25w the cpu needs in order to boost to up to 4ghz. The HP also has a 4k display, which is better than the QHD one on xps. But I doubt I will see a difference on a 13'' display. I might wanna return the xps now.
