  1. So my friends PC has been having some trouble. He stayed at his dads house for a week, leaving his PC at his mothers house, turned off, which was the last time it was working fine, but when he came back it wouldn't run. It started by making it to windows but then crashing with various crash reports. Then it wouldn't even turn on, it would start up and the fans would spin, then they'd stop. Recently I've gotten it to turn on and about 80% of the time it makes it to post, but then after a bit, or even during the post it will crash. Very rarely does it even reach windows anymore, and whenever I try to do something in "windows repair mode" I can't even run one task without it locking up or crashing! I've reset the CMOS, re-seated the ram and GPU, and tested the PSU...I think I've narrowed it down to a bad Windows installation, bad hard drive, or bad motherboard, but I'm not entirely sure.. please help me out!!! His specs: Ryzen 5 1500x, 8gb gskill ripjaw ram, GTX 1050 Ti.... (Posted from Reddit)
  2. So my RGB lights i bought are have a pin order of + G R B, and so are the headers of my ROG Strix x370 motherboard, but when i line up the pins(arrow to arrow) the only color that works correctly is blue! Idk why this happens...I paid $1300 for this build and it's bothering the crap out of me!
  3. No, It just came with case disassembly/reassembly instructions, and a warranty card SOLOUTION: So it turns out that the headers on my motherboard are GRB instead of RGB, and i found an adapter on amazon:https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-Adapter-Specified-Control-PH-CB_RGB4P/dp/B01BZIBJAK
  4. There are a bunch of different ones and im not sure which drivers i need, and the ones i did install, i wasnt sure how to apply
  5. So I got a master case H500P and the Front RGB fans are stuck on blue! When i use Asus Aura(which is compatible with all my other RGB stuff) and change it to red it makes the fans purplish or when i choose green they're turquoiseish, and if i set it to any other color, they're blue! I've made sure they're plugged in correctly(Arrow to Arrow) but i cant figure it out, i just dropped $1300 on this rig and it's bothering the piss out of me!!!! (Copied from a post I made on Reddit)
  6. i turned the headers around and they wont even turn What do you suggest i do? buynew RGBs? Also, What about the fans, Theyre stuck at a bluish...
  7. So i got a Cooler Master MasterCaseH550P and i have a ROG strix x370 mobo as well as some RGB strips, When i Set something on Asus Aura, The ram and the mobo work fine but my LED lights and fans don't, The strips will be off color and my Fans remain a bluish color and seem to do whatever they want, I have all the components plugged in correctly with the arrows facing the right way, as well as used the calibration setting in aura, When calibrating It tells me to pick what color shows up, when blue and green show up it's fine, but when it tries to display red my light strips show a yellowish color...and my RGB fans just stay blue!, im a little bit shook, please help!
  8. So I have 3 monitors, 2 of which are connected to my GPU via HDMI and one DIV. My other monitor is a TV connected to my motherboard via HDMI but will only display in 1400x1050. It was working perfectly fine in 1080p just a few days ago but when I went to play battlefield 1, my resolution changed and messed it all up. I've tried everything from updating drivers, changing drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, unplugging my TV changing my TV settings, running the game again to see if it would change, and changing the settings in the BIOS...I feel like I've done just about everything I know how, so if someone can help me figure this out, it would be highly appreciated! [UPDATE] I notice that the TV resolution is set to 1080p but windows itself is not/ will not show 1080p.
  9. i moved it closer and used Ethernet to connect...and it was much better it didn't disconnect....is there any settings i could change (on my router/modem or even my wifi extension) because i cant keep it down there forever
  10. I just tried that and it does it more often but the lag spikes take less time to recover so somewhat a fix
  11. I've been having a problem with my internet lately, Every time i try to do some gaming on my PC the internet seems to cut for about 5 seconds, when it does disconnect varies, ive been having this problem for a few weeks. Im sure its not our ISP because we have never had problems with them before. I currently have a linksys RE6300 WiFi extender that carries the signal to my PC via LAN. and even when i use a USB internet adapter the drops happen more often but for less time. Again, this only happens when gaming. ( any suggestions would be very helpful!)
  12. I've tries just my boot drive and I don't get anything good either its still that damn recovery page..it says file:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe Error code:0xc0000221
  13. Weather I boot from the ssd or the CD I get this thing or something similar..
