Specs: i5-6600k CPU Corsair RM850 Gold PSU 1 stick of Corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 2400mhz 1 Toshiba SSD + 1 Toshiba HDD Ichill gtx 980ti (not in system during test) I’ve pulled the system to minimum to try and work out why my Pc isn’t powering up properly. It works for an hour, then does a constant power on, power off loop. I have attached a video to show what’s occurring. Ignore the background . Sorry, should have clarified. It booted normally, straight to OS. Im going to reconnect the GPU and see if it starts working.

Ive disconnected my GPU and managed to boot, anywhere Im able to see if it was that causing the issue besides it booting up?

So, ive recently moved house. Since moving, my pc has been working fine. Not shutting off or anything. Since I had to change my office space to another room in the house, i've had nothing but trouble with my rig. I power it up, then it shuts straight off. Then it enters a loop. Nothing showing on the screen or nothing. Just on, then off, then on, then off again. The only way to stop this is to turn it off by the switch on the PSU. The odd time it'll work for about half an hour, and then enter the loop again. I feel as this may be a PSU issue, but i'm not sure. I want to be certain before I fork out more money soon after moving.

Ill see if I can source an intel board from somewhere to do some troubleshooting and see how that goes. Cheers for your replies mate

Im not too sure to be honest with you @eeeee1, Both sticks of ram are fine as ive tested them in a secondary system, the CPU I will have to check but it seems to work fine. Im worried its a PSU or MOBO issue.

Hi guys, So Ive started having some problems with my pc recently. It turns on fine, but after a bit of browsing or gaming, it randomly shuts off and then enters a boot loop. It powers on and off constantly every 3 or so seconds whilst this is going on. It goes through periods of not doing this at all, then (like now) doing it constantly. Ive stripped my pc down and built it back up numerous times and everything is connected and seated fine. Im a bit stumped as to what it could be.

@fasauceome I can foresee that as-well mate, I'm looking forward to what people come up with to be honest. Should make for a good laugh.

Potentially a PSU issue. Do you have a spare machine laying around?

This is a method I tried before when troubleshooting. Take everything out, besides the MOBO and CPU and then put everything in piece by piece. Ram, GPU, Storage etc... Narrow it down.

Post your specs and then we can attempt to help ya pal

Yeah I don't mind about them, I will have some time in the near future to go through and decide whether to keep or remove them. But cheers for letting me know, much appreciated!

Hi there, I'm unsure of whether this is a dumb question or not, but here it is. I'm getting my new PC tomorrow, Intel processor, motherboard etc... My question is, would I be able to use the same storage devices that I have in my current PC on an AMD processor and motherboard. I'm asking this to see whether I can save about 2 hours of my time re-configuring everything and sorting all my logins out. Thank you

Since this post, I have looked around and it looks like the best that I'm going to get without going out of the way to find parts all over the shop and build it myself. I'm going to keep my current PC and keep it as a spare, mostly for my mrs to game with me. Cheers for the reply's though!

Yeah I know I could go for brand new, but Christmas did hit my bank relatively hard and my current pc is starting to run into some issues so I wouldn’t be able to wait till March/April to have the funds sadly.

(I don’t know if there is a specific section for asking questions like these, so I do apologise if I’m posting in the wrong place) So I’m looking to buy a new computer and I see this one for £650 that a buddy of mine put onto Facebook. Just want to know if this is worth me buying?

I agree with Yaqin. I have the corsair Spec-03 (very similar) with the 2 140mm fans at the front and 120mm at the rear, which works very well. Keeps my temps level. I have never had an overheating problem and my parts are in excellent condition. More fans (with the right configuration) will be better, but I think your priority should be your CPU cooler at this stage. I have my PSU taking air in from the rear, and Outputting from the bottom. The case has feet to help with output, but make sure not to place on thick carpet.

I can suggest as I please. Id rather suggest something that I have experience with, rather than something I do not.

I have been using it for a CPU (Havent updated signature in a long time) to play games Like GTA, Ark and The Division. Along with CSGO. It hasnt dissapointed me. Hense why I recommended it. Personal preference.

Maybe an AMD FX-8350, paired with a good GPU, youll be good to go

The only thing worth changing would be the shipping address to mine Looks ok to me, Some people may want to change something but I like it.

I would go for a Rx 470 for a GPU and maybe go for an SSD, The GPU upgrade is optional but you can if you come across any more money. Also yes, Like McMuffin said, Buy a windows key. If you bought your pc complete, there may be a key sticker on the side.
