    I'll consider it. Thank you

  2. I'm trying to build a gaming pc for a friend and it has to be under $800. His original plan was a gaming pc around $700-$800 and preferably 1080p.

After an hour or so, I came up with this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/f4JWzy

He prefers to buy stuffs on amazon and newegg

  3. Finally finished my first pc build so I decided to try out overclocking.

    CPU: i5 3570k

    Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4

    CPU cooler: Water 2.0 Performer

I got the 3570k to 4.6Ghz with (1.2V CPU-Z and 1.241 CPUID HWMonitor), and temperature around 60°C with ambient around 17°C after 12hrs of Prime 95 testing. I know the temperature is alright but I am not too sure about the voltage. What is the recommended max voltage for the i5 3570k?

  4. The NH-D14 would fit.

Unless you need the small bump up in oc or mquieter operation, I wouldn't spend much more than the money for a 212 Evo.

Would push/pull config make the 212 Evo a little more quiet? If so, what a good fan to add with it?

  5. I looking forward to overclock my i5 3570k so I need a decent CPU cooler. I was planing on buying the 212 EVO but I got some extra cash over Thanksgiving so I got interested in the NH-D14 (it is on sale for around ~$65). I saw Linus review video and the thing is huge so I'm not too sure if the thing will even fit into my case.

I have a NZXT 210 case, ASRock Extreme 4 mobo, and G.Skill Sniper RAM. I not too worry about being able to close the side panel but the ram clearance that worry me. Or maybe the NH-D14 is a little overkill for an i5 3570k OC :D.

Recommendations, tips, or helps would be appreciated.

    -Thank you for your time.

  6. I'm planing on build a budget pc for my brother. Right now I'm not too sure of what to get  r9 270x  or 7870?

    R9 270x - ~$199.99 and it comes with BF4

    7870 - ~$199.99 --> ~$149.99 with $50 off or mail and rebate

From what I know the r9 270x and 7870 are about the same performance. I'm currently leaning toward R9 270x because it is about the same price or a little better with BF4 included and it has mantle supported (which I really hoping would be something amazing) but several people said the card is not really that worth it.

  7. Thanks to JoeyDM recommendation I was able to come up with this.

If you got any tips or want to help with the build "http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/80448-gaming-build-1000/"

    Several motherboards I have look at are , MSI 970A-GA43, Asus M5A97 R2.0, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UDA3, Asus M599FX Pro R2.0, and ASRock 990FX Extreme4.

Any recommendation on which one should I pick or is there a better one?

    -Thank you for your time.

  8. I was looking around for a monitor to finish my build.

If you got any tips and want to help on the build "http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/80448-gaming-build-1000/"

I'm not sure what the different between the VS247H-P and VE247H?

They're both 23.6", 16:9, 1080p, 2ms, and 300cd/m2. But VS247H-P is a little more expensive and more people bought it than the VE247H.

Which one should I pick or is there a better one that is under $150 and around 23-24"?

    -Thank you for your time

  9. I'm planing on buying the G710+ and G602 for my upcoming build "http://pcpartpicker.com/p/28NsL"

If you got any tips and want to help on the build "http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/80448-gaming-build-1000/"

Anyways I was looking around for wireless mouse($80 or less) that has macro keys but not too much like MOORPG mouse. The G602 really struck me when it was announced with 250hrs+ (I don't know if it really does last 250hrs+ but around 200hrs is good enough for me).

I'm also looking for a mechanical keyboard (Brown switches, $160 or less) that has macro key but not too much like the K95 and it should have media control (volume, play, stop, and ect...).

If you have any suggestions or tips on similar or better options then please post them.

    -Thanks you for your time

  10. Looking for some helps and tips on upcoming build on Black Friday and Cybermonday. (US)

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/28NsL (I already have Window 7 Home)

I'm planing on using this pc for mostly Starcraft II (I play a lot of fastest map :) and mass build an army).

maybe other games like BL2, D3, BF4, and Witcher 3 (when it comes out).

I'll be gaming on 1080p monitor

After few hours of research and looking over my old completed builds I came up with 4 builds: All them have the same CPU cooler, memory, storage, case, PSU, keyboard, mouse, and 5.25" card reader. The OS will be Window 7 Home but I already have it.

CPU cooler -Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO- Good reviews, cheap, and I think it will be a good start on OC.

Memory -G.Skill Sniper Series- Good reviews, CAS, price and it is 1866mhz (maybe I can get it to 2000mhz+ :D ).

Storage -Samsung 840EVO- Good reviews, price, and a good start for my 1st SSD (I have a Seagate Barracuda 2TB and 750GB HDD, so I'm too worry with running out of storage soon).

Case -NZXT Source 210- Good reviews, cheap, and it fit my desk pc holder.

PSU -Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze- Good reviews, price, it has good amount of Amp output through the rails.

Keyboard -G710+- Good reviews, Cherry MX brown, enough macro keys, back lit, a little expensive but it will probably last me quite awhile.

Mouse -G602- Good review, wireless, enough macro keys, 250hrs!!! battery life, and it feels pretty nice.

Extension -5.25" Rosewill card reader- it has 2 USB 3.0 with micro sd card, and 4 USB 2.0.

    - FX-8350 build

CPU  -FX-8350- 8 cores that would help with multi-task

Motherb oard -Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0- Good reviews, good price, and the USB 3.0 header is on the front.

GPU -Sapphire 7950- nice black, and cheap.

    -Build 1

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/28WUx

GPU -Gigabyte 760- nice black, slightly better performance on some games I'm planing on playing but of course a little more expensive.

    -Build 2

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/28WVu

    - i5 3570k build

CPU -i5 3570k- perform slightly better than the Fx-8350 on most game but slightly less on professional works (editing, Photoshop,ect...)

Motherboard -ASRock z77 Extreme4- good reviews, price, very nice black, and USB 3.0 header on the front.

GPU -Sapphire 7950- nice black, and cheap.

    -Build 1

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/28WWz

GPU -Gigabyte 760- nice black, slightly better performance on some games I'm planing on playing but of course a little more expensive.

    -Build 2
