  1. Or at least the R5 3600 since it's far better for what actually matters the editing and effects part... when you're rendering and exporting you can just go have a coffee, it doesn't matter the 2700X is marginally faster there, what matters the most is your actual working time doing the actual editing right? Most adobe editing tools on w/e program are heavily single threaded.
  2. Usually the price difference wouldn't be too far from much better up-to-date brand new builds from either Intel or AMD, ultimately if you can pay for the r5 3600 + b450 combo or since you're going to video edit you might have use to quicksync in this case at least an i7 9700 on a b365. I'd only consider used older hardware as is if you're really saving a lot of money, because if you're going to spend plenty already why not just get the most "value" even if spending a little more.

Buying Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is kinda lik…

Rockstar has greatly disappointed us all
  4. Most games these days don't even support it any more meaning there would be no performance gains to begin with. Others are usually a stuttering mess.... no even if you don't care about value and $ and just want the best you are better off buying a good 2080 Ti and calling it a day... To put things into perspective: AMD has officially phased out Crossfire... nVidia already only enables it on their highest end, there's real chance next gen it also dies entirely.
  5. Oh yes BeQuiet! does really great fans, their silent wings are pretty much as good as Noctua's but better looking, highly recommended.
  6. Both the RX 5700 and RX 5700XT do but there is no true performance difference between 3.0 or 4.0... it's just compatible.
  7. PCI-e 3.0 16X suffices even for the RTX 2080 Ti
  8. System memory has absolutely nothing to do with the video card video memory.
  9. The ASUS TUF GAMING 5700XT is a cheap plastic toy and nobody cares. I personally prefer this anime like design than plenty of aggressive looking gaming designs we have.

lol RDR2 doesnt even get to a splash screen!

RDR2 PC Port is a disaster nobody ever thought Rockstar was capable of pulling out lol
  11. Can't say you weren't told back then not to go with the Gaming Edge WiFi, it should be okay for the R5 3600 but that's it... kinda upsetting when the main point of AM4 is upgrade path but then you get a motherboard that's unable to properly support anything you could upgrade to. But I digress, seon123 already answered you everything you need to know.
  12. Oof you bought the Worst X570 motherboard there is... And a very bad PSU: Why don't people ask things BEFORE purchasing things? That said your PSU *should* come with every cable you need.
  13. Very much so, even more if you don't have a Z motherboard, if you want to upgrade from the i7 7700 then you should renew the platform, a R5 3600 is inexpensive and better in every way. That said the i7 7700 is still a very competent gaming CPU. Would be fine for the most part.
  14. My i9 9900K at 5ghz 1.34v uses about 180W on max load (reported on XTU) so I don't think the i9 9900KS really gets to 250W on any realistic scenario.
  15. Rockstar has admit the Launcher wasn't ready for a release of the proportion of RDR2 and have been working non-stop since fixing bugs and glitches, they are releasing updates to the launcher every 12 hours or so. So you should be patient and wait your issues to be resolved by them, try deleting everything and reinstalling it tomorrow or something they should have made a good progress by then. The game also has performance issues, runs poorly on nVidia and Vulkan API has been reported as glitchy as hell, pretty much Rockstar pulled out an Ubisoft here and released a broken unoptimized PC Port... hopefully all the updates now can solve the issues.
  16. Are you sure the i7 8700K can't satisfy? it might be behind the 3900X but it's not exactly a sloth. That said, https://www.walmart.com/ip/Asus-Crosshair-Vi-Hero-Motherboard-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/866065651?irgwc=1&sourceid=imp_1yNQHs0zcxyOT89wUx0Mo3IyUknwtJyX6zEdzE0&veh=aff&wmlspartner=imp_79301&clickid=1yNQHs0zcxyOT89wUx0Mo3IyUknwtJyX6zEdzE0
  17. I have always managed to install the driver just fine doing these steps, and yes I also have had Windows Update shoving down my throat the DCH in the past. I think you'll be fine if you do all those steps but what GPU and what Windows version are you currently on?
  18. Navi as an architecture isn't finalized yet to be embedded into such a small package like the one of a CPU while Vega already is fully developed and functional in one. The reason is simply that they haven't finished working on the Navi architecture to where they can freely make products out of it, these things are never as straight forwards as one might think.
  19. DCH are OEM only solutions and Windows Update certified drivers, you should always avoid these if you're using an aftermarket dedicated GPU. When you DDU in Safe Mode to wipe out everything you have to ensure you already downloaded the latest standard drivers so you can install them after the reboot without being connected to the internet, otherwise Windows Update will force DCH OEM drivers which are notorious for being awful (not to mention they force you to download nVidia control panel from Windows Store lol). Standard are the normal drivers you should always use unless you use a proprietary OEM solution like prebuilds, all in ones and alike.
  20. Newer* He clearly stated his monitor is G-Sync Compatible which is the nomenclature nVidia's using for Freesync monitors. I would love if we could call it all just Adaptive Sync and be done with it but gotta make marketing names.
  21. Only Pascal (1000 series) nVidia or older supports Freesync. You have a Maxwell (900 series) card.
  22. Yes, it's fine. Windows Defender is pretty good for non-savvy users, usually you only need to replace it for a third party when you want to mess around with cracks, trainers and other software that comes from "grey areas" per se.
