Power consumption isn't noticeably different, especially in games:

Would these two make a good combo ? It’s discounted $30 when paired.

Ryzen 1600 at $80 is an unbeatable value, but Ryzen 2600 is faster. Intel's i5-9400F is a better gaming processor than either, but it's only got a slight lead and it's a 6C/6T CPU so in theory it might not age as well (my crystal ball isn't sure though).
I might just go with the i5 9400f I’ve heard good things also I only have a 430 watt psu.

Ryzen 7 1700X and a decent X370 board (I'd recc ASUS X470-Pro)

Are Ryzen processors less power effiecient than intel ?

I’m looking to buy a cpu for purely gaming around the budget of $140 and less for the cpu alone. What’s the better option AMD or intel and which one specially should I get? Also if it matters what so ever I have an rx 570 4gb. Use microcenter as the reference for prices.

I need to get a windows 10 key because im upgrading motherboard where should I get it? My activation settings says "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account" does that mean I dont need a new key?

I’m trying to sell my Intel core i5 7500 cpu and Gigabyte GA-h270 Gaming 3 Motherboard. It already has windows 10 activated on it and both come with all original packaging, cables, and io shield. Both are in good condition and about a year old with light use just Gaming. I’m not trying to sell it here just wondering what I could expect to get or be offered for it?

That will not work in the motherboard. you need a 300 chipset. I made that mistake one time.
Edit: so if you dont want to buy a new motherboard, you should get a 7th gen cpu.
Is the Asrock B360 Pro4 a good motherboard for the intel core i5-9400f?

I currently have the intel core i5-7500, Rx 570 4GB, and 16GB of ram. I want to upgrade my cpu to a intel core i5-9400f. Would this be a good upgrade to performance? Also would this cpu be a good pair for my Rx 570 4GB?

I would think 8GB should be fine, unless he has some real intense websites and spreadsheets open.
Most of the spreadsheets he has open have a lot of information.

I’m building my dad a ryzen build for his business and I’m wondering how much ram he will need. He’s gonna be using chrome usually having upwards of 20 tabs open, he uses excel, and a few other assorted programs he uses to keep track of his business finances. It’s gonna be a Windows 10 system if that matters. Should he get 8gb of ram or 16gb ?

There's not a huge difference in them, aside from maybe the fact that you can upgrade the Athlon to some Ryzen CPU that would have better performance with both CPU and graphics performance, but since that's probably not important whatsoever then you can just get the config that's cheaper, Athlon with A320 board (the only CPU I recommend using A320 with, and even then it's a stretch) or Pentium with H310.
Alright thank you for the help I really appreciate it

$300 for just the CPU, or whole system? If it's the whole system then consider something like a Pentium G4600, or Athlon 200GE.
Yeah it’s for the whole system are there any cons to either of these cpus ?

what? $1700 is a budget
really though, tabs aren't very demanding. Ryzen 3 2200g and loads of ram will help.
A low budget of around $300

My dad wants to build a pc for office use. He usually has lots of tabs open and he saves files and loads files frequently what’s the best processor on a budget to get for an office pc like this?

Does anybody have a white desk with the razer firefly ? I have one but my desk is black so the colors don’t show up too good. On your desk do they show up better on white ?

1600 of course, not like the integrated graphics will be that useful when you have a graphics card.
What speed of ram should I get?

I need to get a budget ryzen cpu at my local microcenter there’s two I’m looking at. The ryzen 3 2200g or the ryzen 5 1600 ? The price difference is only $20 is the extra $20 worth it ?
I’m gonna get a dedicated Gpu
