  1. I have a Msi gtx 1060 gaming x card and I have overclocked it successfully to +80 on core clock and +600 on memory clock. I was wondering would I get more out of my gpu if I changed the core voltage. I'm pretty new to overclocking so I apologize for any stupidity when it come this stuff.

The Core Frozr L performs better but I think the Gammaxx GT looks better.

If it's a matter of aesthetic, go with whichever you think looks better.

Please don't make multiple threads for the same discussion -- threads merged.

Sorry I’m not really well versed in using forums I’ll make sure to keep the threads together next time.

  3. I have an Intel Core i5 9400f and I know it doesn’t really need a cpu cooler, but the stock intel cooler is a big eye sore so I want something that looks good. I’m looking for some people’s personal opinions on these two coolers and which you like better.

The anti static bag should be sealed with a sticker, if not look for sticker residue to indicate a sticker has been peeled off, anti static bag will be neatly packed with no creases, intact plastic wrap on the actual card itself, plastic covers over/in the ports and expensive cards will also have a cover over the PCIe connector.

Should be easy to identify if it's a new card or not.

Ok didn't even think about the bag thanks

  5. I'm gonna be going to pick up a graphics card that is supposedly new and unopened. It has shrink wrap on it and it looks like factory wrap, but it could be the seller did a good job. He said I can open it up and check it out before I buy it. I wanted to know if anybody had some details to look for other than the usual manuals, port covers, or dust to be able to identify a resealed used card.

Your going to need to dial down your resolution and game settings if you want 144fps @ 1080p.  Im assuming you have a 144hz monitor.  If you have a 60hz monitor then you will be pleased by a sustained 60fps.

    You assumed right

Not really a upgrade,  More so a side grade.  Save your money.  Both 570 and 1060 6GB are 1080p video cards.  I wouldn't do this side grade.  See if you can get your hands on a 1070 or 2060 which are again 1080p gaming card but will give you that 144fps @ 1080p medium to high settings.  You wont be able to do anything new or special with the side grade....

What do you mean by side grade ?

  8. I found someone selling a Gtx 1060 6gb unopened for $200 and I got it down too $140. I already made sure the seller was trust worthy and safety nets are already in place. Would the Gtx 1060 6gb msi be a good upgrade from my Rx 570 4gb ?
