  1. I'd say go for a ryzen 3 cpu. It offers a platform which is going to be relevant at the very least this whole year. You can just slot in a better ryzen chip later and be great for a few more years. Going for the g4560 is not worth it IMO - it's not a great chip and the platform is dead so the best you can do later is slot in a 7700k.
  2. If you plan on playing CPU intensive games (BF1, Assassin's creed origins, etc.) then you would benefit from the upgrade. If you stick to overwatch and lol then you are fine with your CPU.
  3. What games do you play? Are they cpu intensive? Do you get stuttering because your cpu is maxing out? If so I would say go for it. I upgraded from a i5-4670k to a ryzen 5 1600 and my gaming experience is much smoother.
  4. I recently upgraded from a 4670k to a Ryzen 5 1600 and I can tell you my gaming experience is much smoother because my CPU is not maxing out. I run a GTX 1070 and have no problems with ACO whatsoever, it runs without stuttering at 1080p 60 fps maxed out. My opinion is to go for a CPU with more than 4 cores - definitely don't buy an i5 with 4 cores (7600k).
  5. I wouldn't upgrade the monitor with a 650ti. That GPU is old and won't be able to handle 1440p or 144 hz gaming in anything that came out in the past 2-3 years. And the VRAM will definitely be an issue in 1440p.
  6. Hey guys, So first off - I have never dealt with memory oc'ing. I have only loaded an XMP on my last memory so please excuse my poor knowledge. I just loaded into windows after updating to the latest bios on my ASUS Strix b350-f and setting my memory at the rated 3466 speed - my memory is Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8Gb 3466 CL16, and it is a Hynix B-die. I still haven't oc'ed my Ryzen 5 1600 if that is relevant. Could you suggest any memory stress testing methodologies?
  7. IMO 4c/4t cpus are a dying breed (they are struggling right now and in 1-2 years they'll probably have even more trouble running games). I wouldn't buy a 7600 or any other kaby lake i5 cpu. If you want to keep your platform definitely go for an i7.

  9. Hey guys, I want to buy a ryzen 5 1600 and corsair memory from England while I am here but I'll be going back to Bulgaria in a week. Can someone point me to some warranty information - example - if the cpu or memory has a problem can I send them to a warranty service in Bulgaria or do I have to send them all the way to England? I know asus have "international warranty" on most of their products which means it doesn't matter where you bought it - you can use your local warranty services.
  10. Bf1 is super cpu intensive and a 4c/4t cpu is not ideal imo. My 4670k at 4.0 Ghz is struggling quite a bit and often stays at 90-100% usage which means stuttering. Either upgrade your platform or find ab i7 imo.
  11. 8700 for sure because of the hyperthreading. It doesn't matter too much right now but 2 years in the future ... who knows - we might get games that utilise more than 6 threads (as it happened for the 4c/4t cpus this year).
  12. Hey guys, I'm planning to buy a Ryzen 5 1600 + Asus strix b350-f. The pc is going to be used exclusively for gaming at 1080p (maybe 1440p in future) 60fps and I'm already set on ryzen (Intel chips and mobos are way too expensive and out of stock). My question is - how much of a difference is there in performance between the Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000MHz CL15 and Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200MHz CL16 memory? The problem is in my country I can't find the 3200MHz so I might end up waiting awhile (I live in Bulgaria). I want this build to last awhile.
  13. I think it's ram. When your ram maxes out (or is close to) windows will start writing stuff to a pagefile on your hard drive/ssd which is many times slower than ram.
  14. IMO the r5 1600 will last longer because of the 12 threads. It seems like games built on modern apis are really taking advantage of more threads and that trend is going to continue. Sure 6 cores are great right now but in 3-4 years, who knows... 3-4 years ago 4 core cpus were great and nobody expected games will ever take advantage of so many cores.
  15. Neither. Either buy a ryzen cpu or go for a coffee lake cpu. The kaby lake i5s are a terrible buy.
