  1. In the UK at least, the infrastructure just isn't there yet for EV's. Far too many faulty charging points and software that's just too clunky, it's not really improved much since they became more mainstream on the roads. I think by the time they nail electric powered vehicles, another method will be around the corner and electric will be old news.
  2. @Moonzy It's worth noting that Reliant didn't only make 3-wheelers, they also made 4 wheeled vehicles. Sabre, Scimitar, Kitten & Fox to name a few. The Fox originally being a Greek design (Mebea) using the Kitten chassis, the only difference being the Greek ones didn't have a front chin spoiler.
  3. @AlexTheGreatish We've seen what current car technology has to offer in this video... But what about 65 years ago (1955) when the Citroen DS was launched? I'd love to see a video comparing Linus' Chevy Volt to the Citroen DS, you may need to hunt one down but I think it would be worth it.
  4. You need to have Thunderbolt port which this laptop doesn't have.
  5. Which would you rather have? HubNut's 1986 Citroen 2CV OR JayzTwoCents' 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Personally while the Camaro is fine looking car with lots of horsepower, I'd rather have the 2CV. The go anywhere suspension is utterly amazing and it just looks so cute, plus when you thrash them (which is most of the time) they make some really delicious engine noises. That maybe a conclusion some of you may not have expected, but hey that's just me I guess Looking forward to what the rest of you will choose.

According to r/cars and Donut Media, the Toyota…

I'd still rather have an Isuzu 117... These things are massively underrated, so underrated in fact that you've probably never heard of it before.
  7. I mean you can have mass produced luxury items. Sony phones for example, their phones are mass produced in a factory (obviously) but they are put together with care and insane levels of attention to detail. A lot of people complain about their low market share in the mobile communications sector and while that's true I don't actually see that as a bad thing, it just cements the fact that they've found a specific customer base. With this smaller customer base they can focus down deeper on the overall quality a lot more than say Apple or Samsung and it shows in spades. You have to own a Sony phone (especially a flagship model) at least once in your lifetime to experience what real quality is all about, that and the beautiful traditional Japanese design philosophy. Their phones are clearly not designed for the average consumer, they are designed for people like me who prefer quality and like the sense of exclusivity. Proper luxury. Definitely not biased despite owning a Sony Xperia 1 II...
  8. The olden days really were better... It must have taken months to draw/paint those detailed illistrations of the vehicle, honestly it's truely staggering what these artists were capable of. These days it just takes a few seconds to press a button on a camera and you're done (plus a quick edit in software). Hand drawn/painted illistrations need to return in modern brochures, it would make them more intresting to read and they'd hold some value for the future.
  9. No, your laptop is below the minimum requirements.
  10. I wouldn't go too deep into it. All you really need to know is that they both earn enough to live on within their means and enough for Linus to keep LMG running in a financially healthy state.
  11. I'd save up to get something better, there's no point wasting money on an ancient GPU that won't run a lot of modern games (2010 onwards).
  12. I've heard of the podcast before but not actually listened to it. I mainly watch HubNut on YouTube.
  13. 12 years before the Land Rover Discovery Series 1 was launched, Matra launched this beauty and was kept in production up until 1984... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matra_Rancho
  14. LTT (obviously), HubNut & bigclivedotcom.
  15. It's mad to think when @LinusTech was born (1986), Citroen was still making the 2CV and GS/GSA (final production year)... The 2CV using technology of the 40's and the GS/GSA using technology of the 70's.
  16. For the 3090 yes, but anything below that no. More people are likely to own a 3080 rather than a 3090. In my opinion a luxury item has to be a one-off or at the very least sell in small numbers to a select customer base. You're buying scarcity and that's sort of what luxury used to be about, that sense of exclusivity is what is appealing to some people. I mean you don't go into Asprey in London wanting the same piece of jewellery as everyone else, you want an exclusive piece (the prices reflect that).
