  1. Hi guys, Planning a PC for a friend, ready to click order on all of the parts when he suddenly says that he needs a DVD Writer/Player. I have a look at the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Midi that we were about to order and sure enough, no DVD Writer/Player. I suggest a USB plug in one but when you are spending the sort of money he is... I just want it all to be perfect. Anyway, I'm looking for a premium mid tower case with some kind of hidden slim line DVD type thing. I remember seeing one in a video a whilst back, just don't remember what it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  2. I had the same sort of thing happen to me, seemed like it was booting just no display. Turned out to be the PSU. I tested it using a PSU I knew was good. I would suggest trying the same!
  3. I could do, at the moment it's on a shelf above my computer which is fine. I think I'm just being a bit perfectionist.
  4. The reason I would prefer the ones on the back is because I'm using an In-Win Chopin case so the cable for the antenna is way to long. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  5. Are they just generic Wifi antennas? So would something like this work? http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/tp-link-24ghz-8dbi-indoor-omni-directional-antenna-n49ql?cmpid=ppc&gclid=CjwKEAiAmo_CBRC9qbGQssjqi28SJABYTgZxPldHFM33Kq-Ay8z2V4NWUoGCYBPPLMC1zNWImZZRDRoCiGjw_wcB
  6. Fairly sure this is the right place for this, I'm looking for new wifi antennas for my motherboard. The one it comes with is the longish cable with the magnetic single antenna on the end which I don't really like because it looks messy. The mother board is Gigabyte GA - H170N - WIFI. The ones I'm after are similar to what you can find on a router, the two swively plastic doodads that go right onto the I/O on the back. Thanks!
  7. Great! Is this the same tubing that comes with the EK predator kits? Looks similar.
  8. I'm planning an very small form factor build and I need a suggestion on tubing. Due to how compact the rig will be I need the tubing to be as flexible as possible. Should be 10/16mm (3/8" - 5/8"). Thanks!
  9. They also come in the IFixit kit! Along with just about every other type of bit.
  10. Ok, so I noticed that it said just above it that it's sold out, but restocked in 3-5 days. I ordered it and then emailed highflow asking to confirm that it will be restocked. They said: "Dear Jack, Thank you for your e-mail. This block is indeed sold out and not available anymore. Our apologies for the inconvenience. I have canceled and refunded your order. Kind Regards / Met vriendelijke groet," So looks like hardware sites don't stock end of life products anymore. Thanks anyway!
  11. Thanks for this, I contacted EK about this and they said the same. They didn't explain why though.
  12. I'm pretty sure that DACs and Amps don't come with any sort of mic input. An extension cable would work fine. I'm no expert on those headphones but I do have a Schiit Fulla and it is very good. It takes a USB input from your computer and so would be fairly close to your mic input. Just a suggestion. (http://schiit.com/products/fulla)
  13. Thanks, I've seen these and whilst they may be just as good, I was hoping to keep all components EK for aesthetic reasons. I see on the EK website they have a universal waterblock called a Thermosphere (https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-thermosphere-nickel). Any opinions? I'll have plenty of airflow over the card so it might be the solution.
