  1. Alright, thanks for the advice everyone! I think saving on the air cooler and NVMe storage makes the jump to the next generation of processors slightly easier. I will end up pairing a R7 7700X with a RX 6750XT, as I cannot afford the next tier of graphics as well - unless sticking to AM4/a cheaper CPU would be more beneficial for performance?
  2. Hi everyone, I'm building a new computer and would like some advice I've already put together a parts list below, but I had some specific questions other than general "will this work for me": 1. I want to make this build quiet, so I was thinking of undervolting the GPU slightly to decrease the heat produced and hence GPU RPM -- would this be appropriate here, considering the RX 6750XT? 2. For case airflow, is it recommended adding some form of filtering on the mesh, or is creating a slight positive pressure sufficient? Current parts list [here] Location: United Kingdom Budget: 1300-1400 GBP Aim: - Gaming, up to games like Cyberpunk 2077 for now, with some light browsing in background - Hobbyist 3D modelling in CAD software - Run Windows/Linux VM, if possible - Remote access this computer to game/use 3D software from a light laptop Monitors/Peripherals: all already owned, but need a W11 Home licence. Current monitor: - WQHD (3440x1440) with FreeSync (Dell S3422DW) Thanks for any kind help and advice you may have !
  3. The main advantage of Surface products over other laptops seem to be the array of accessories that come alongside of it, such as the pen. If you're looking for a simple laptop and don't need that feature, I wouldn't recommend the Surface as its price may only be justified if you do use that pen. However, as you already have a Windows PC, maybe finding another Windows laptop may be a good idea in order to make sure all files are compatible. I would check out Asus or HP as I've had really good experience for both of these, and since your use seems to be quite light, you'll find a great array of good products over there.
  4. OP's website says it supports band 20, so it should be good. I remember checking that a while ago as I'm moving to the UK, and it didn't seem to be a problem.
  5. That's really disturbing. Maybe someone you know very well could lend you the credit card so that you subscribe, and then fix it to make sure no transactions are taken from it?
  6. Mate, how do you pay when you go to a shop? Which country do you live in? I'm also from europe, and I'd like to understand what's your problem to help.
  7. FYI, you don't need a credit card, but you can also use debit cards. I'm unclear about this: What happens when you fill in your credit card details onto paypal?
  8. 1&2. Check for Aura compatibility, since you're running an Asus board. You can get some really clean effects quite easily.
  9. RGB boosts performance by dank%, so you choose do you want to change the theme of your build easily? Then yes. Otherwise, no. Looking at your build, you haven't included any other rgb components, so eh.
  10. Ah okay, thanks. Do you know how to get goot speeds with gpu or? I can barely break the 5k barrier.
  11. Ok, I see. Is there a way I can limite how much my cpu is used to plot? It's the fastest thing I've got to plot, but it runs really hot when doing so. Also, what do you mean by stagger size? Is this the RAM you allocate to the process?
  12. They are literally soldered onto the board with an SOC. Unless you get some really fancy machine to be able to do it, you won't be able to. Someone who is more experienced than me will be able to tell you more, but yeah.
  13. The other services yeah. You get contracts from people on the internet, and their data is stored on your hard drive, encrypted. It can look alright, but there's a part of this that I don't quite like. Also they don't pay very well, and it takes a lot of time to build up contracts.
