  1. Hello, I bought a corsair 5000D, and three "DeepCool FK120 3in1 PC Fans". My fans came with a 4 --> 1 adapter thing which is pictured below. I also have a fan merger thing on the back on my computer case which is also pictured. Here is my question, can I plug my fans into the 4 --> 1 adapter and then plug that into the corsair thing, and plug the corsair thing into my motherboard? I need to use the 4 to 1 adapter because the fan wires are too short to not use it. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the advice, as well as explaining the sdd differences to me. It would be nice to be able to play the new elder scrolls on this pc too
  3. Thanks for all the advice, is there a reason for the single ssd? Usually I like to have multiple for organization
  4. The ram is for Tarkov where it seems to have a big impact. Aren't the ssds the same for the most part, I thought the difference was just brand name? * *edit- I checked and the read/write speeds are different on them, oops. Ill get better ssds I will probably order a few fans to fillout the case
  5. Hello, I'm building a new pc for Starfield as well as other AAA games in the future and here is what I have come up with. I don't care about sound, apearance or rgb, I just want the get the most possible FPS for the least amount of money. If you can see any problems with the build or recommend parts with an equal or greater performance for less cost please do. One thing to note is that I will probably add another nvme down the line. Thanks https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xf8scH
  6. I'm building a new PC and I want to get a small nmve drive that will ONLY have my OS on it, I found this: Corsair Force MP300 M.2 2280 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236394&Description=nvme&cm_re=nvme-_-20-236-394-_-Product What do you guys think? I'm asking because I want to be sure I'll get the benefits of nvme speeds as opposed to classic SSD speeds, because I'm still pretty new to nvme. Here is my part list as well. 7. why would you recommend a G2 over a G3? I don't know much about psu's

  9. Going to build a new pc and was wondering if a Cooler Master - MasterLiquid ML240L would be able to handle a i7-9700k? Thanks
  10. So I've decided to build a new PC in the upcoming few months once I get the money together because my current pc is over 7 years old, and I've been doing research and this is what I have come up with so far. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor $359.99 @ Amazon CPU Cooler Cooler Master - MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $59.99 @ B&H Thermal Compound Arctic Silver - 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5 g Thermal Paste $6.39 @ OutletPC Motherboard Gigabyte - Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 (rev. 1.0) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $229.69 @ OutletPC Memory G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $119.99 @ Newegg Storage Samsung - 970 Evo 250 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $77.99 @ Newegg Storage Western Digital - Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $67.89 @ OutletPC Storage Seagate - BarraCuda 4 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive $98.89 @ OutletPC Video Card MSI - GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card $789.99 @ Newegg Case NZXT - H500 (Black/Blue) ATX Mid Tower Case $69.99 @ Amazon Power Supply EVGA - SuperNOVA G1+ 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply $76.52 @ OutletPC Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $2017.32 Mail-in rebates -$60.00 Total $1957.32 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-02-07 23:09 EST-0500 I'll be running a 27 inch 144hz 2k monitor and a 1080p second monitor, looking to play all new games. Budget max would be around $2000. My biggest 'unknown' so far is that until a month ago I didn't know M.2 (or nvme?) existed. And I still cant figure it out, I keep reading that some configurations will only give you the speed benefits of a regular SSD, so will what I picked out work for the super fast PC boot times I'm looking for? Also, if you think there are better alternatives to what I've picked please let me know. Any and all advice is appreciated! 1. Budget & Location $2000 - USA 2. Aim Playing all new Games on high/ultra settings close to 144 fps at 2k. 3. Monitors Primary: 144hz, 27 inch, 2k -- Secondary: 1080p 60hz 4. Peripherals I'm all set 5. Why are you upgrading? Current PC is 7 years old.
  11. So I'm going to buy a laptop for school and so far I've narrowed it down to these two and need help deciding which one. I'll be using them for web browsing and having multiple tabs, Netflix, twitch... just typical use, no gaming. The first this this Ideapad 330 15" Touch - Platinum Grey https://gyazo.com/9fa99eab9acd9b0035f5faca7be924f8 The second is this HP Laptop - 15t touch with Intel i7 https://gyazo.com/9bee5f58e85160f3a1d89ba53f5bb620 I would probably go with the HP, however the original price is $1,269.99 and it is currently 579.99. This price difference seems fishy for something just called a "hp laptop." Both laptops are on their respective company's sites (lenovo, hp) at checkout there is a 2$ price difference so I'm just not sure. Any and all advice is appreciated and if you know of something better feel free to throw it at me. Thanks! Edit* https://us-store.acer.com/offers/laptop-deals/aspire-5-laptop-a515-51-89up this looks appealing too
  12. Thank you for this reply, lots of good info. I'll looking into overclocking again next week once I have some time. Thanks for helping "btw for the people saying ''well you're on a 144hz monitor why do you want 300fps+ anyway you can't see more then 144'' just let me stop you there because you clearly haven't played csgo enough to notice the difference between 144fps and 300+" At least somebody understands
  13. Yes I have a 144Hz, And ideally I'd like to hover around 500fps
  14. So I want more FPS in CS:GO. I currently hover around 270-350fps on low settings 1920x1080, but the fps dips into the low 100's sometimes and it's really annoying. I have a: i7-4770k Overclocked to 3.9 and water cooled. (Bought in 2014ish) Z87-WS mb 32gb ram gtx 1060 6gb I feel like with that setup I should be getting more fps, am I wrong? This is why I'm hesitating to upgrade because I don't know much about CPUs and am afraid I'm just not getting the most out of mine right now. Let me know what you guys think.
