  1. I'm going to do my best and write this short and sweet with as many details as possible. I use my network for the following. Gaming (duh), Streaming on twitch, lots of browsing and streaming netflix youtube etc. Speed test for my network comes back as a 7ms latency give or take a few ms reaching around 750-900mbps which is pretty normal having the "gigablast" package. Upload speed sits at 35mbps which is perfectly fine for streaming. At least that's worked fine for me in the past. Currently I am running into issues with my network. I am experiencing high latencies while downloading games. I have also attempted streaming and had issues about an hour in where my bitrate tanks and goes into the red. Lots of packet loss during that time. So far in my troubleshooting it seems to be my PC. Would appreciate some input since I am very low on ideas other than throwing the router out the window. WHAT I'VE DONE: I've gotten a direct line to the router so I could get off of wifi (thank god) thanks to a line drop from the room with the modem to my room. I have swapped to wifi which seems fine, but obviously speeds are degraded. I seem to be dropping packets for no real good reason other than "yay wifi". I have installed a spare gigabit port into my computer and tested. So far seems to be the same issue. I have purchased a line tester tool and tested each cable going from my computer to the router itself. I am reluctant to think it's a modem issue at this point since no one else in the house is having issues over wifi. I was even downloading steam where I would get drops of packets or get high latencies. I also had high latencies while downloading. Doesn't seem to matter which NIC I use either. I have also capped my download to 15MB/s tops which is way lower than the speeds I could get if my network was being nice. I have changed my DNS to resolve to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. This did fix the DNS issue I was having.. at least I'm pretty sure. Had issues where websites wouldn't load properly either but seems to be direct cause of my network issues. Turned off power save on the NIC. Downgraded firmware on router due to finding a post stating some of the similar issues I'm having. Ran windows update. Ran out of ideas so attempted some shots in the dark like SFC and DISM for windows corruption. This is a fresh install of windows by the way and I made sure to install all fresh drivers. UPDATE: I have tested the cable between the modem and the router. Passed with my cable testing tool. I want to test directly from the modem itself when possible. 2. Happens on my online games like WoW and SCII and idk if MH world be considered online if I'm in offline mode.
  3. All I have done in terms of actual benchmarking is userbenchmark prior to purchasing to get an idea. So in straight numbers it beat my old pc build by a good margin at least in terms of gaming. Any knowledge to pass along for my future is greatly appreciated! If I made mistakes I like to learn from them.
  4. Yes. I completely reinstalled my OS actually due to some prior troubleshooting. I recommend to everyone else learn from my mistake and don't be lazy with the OS. Had all my existing drivers at one point... Won't bore you with the details, but it was a hoot!
  5. Hello! I am having just slight issues with my new card. According to just benchmarks, this should run about 30% better. As of now I'm getting some stutters. Overall frames feel fine and smooth, until a stutter hits. I'm thinking something is bottle necking, but don't know where to start. Looking up symptoms of bottle necking does lean towards Proc, but wanted an opinion from the cool peeps here. Spec are as follows 2600X AMD 6 core proc EVGA Geforce 1070 FTW 16 GB (2 sticks) 3200 RAM B450 Aorus Gigabyte MoBo 750 Watt Seasonic PSU Case Yada yada. Hope to get some guidance :) Cheers.
  6. Hmm, I haven't looked at my fans on a full load yet. Also not home so I will have to get back to you on that.
  7. Maybe your mouse is stopping during gameplay?? Causing to seem like it's stuttering? Are the surroundings freezing as well or just the character in question.
  8. Have you checked the bios see if anything like hyperthreading disabled or something just out of the ordinary with the proc or peripherals? I have an old 3770 with a fair amount of programs running at any given time.. streaming 60 fps the works and I run games just fine. So the fact he can see a 6700k and say ya something is eating up the proc is absurd and close to not much thought given.. And if you really think it is something clogging up maybe point him in the right direction with Ctrl+Shift+Esc to bring up task manager see if there's a high volume of CPU usage. Hope my addition helps in some way. Cheers.
  9. If you've done any edits with video card configs in the nvidia control panel or the amd equivalent you should hit the restore default. And let me know how the reinstall goes.
  10. You mean the stand screws separating the board from the case??... What the mobo rests on? That's very dangerous to forget could very well short your board. Need the standoff screws inside the case before starting. Look at the case manual for proper Motherboard standoff configuration. It will have a diagram.
  11. Got any other cards to test? It could be a bad card if it's not the drivers. Check your hard drive as well if it crashes while loading, it may be corrupted files.. Maybe! That one seems like a stretch, but that's how I roll Let me know what turns up.
  12. Try the windows 7 realtek driver on the page as well. If you haven't tried 8.1 realtek drivers. http://www.asusdriversdownload.com/asus-drivers/asus-q200e-notebook Also! If you go to device manager and right click properties the missing driver, go to details and select Hardware Ids. That should point you in the right direction Cheers.
  13. You'd be surprised, it was built for Windows 8.1 so it isn't far from Windows 10
  14. Windows 10 is usually really good at picking up drivers for your computer. Try going to device manager, right click any yellow ! and hit the automatically download and install driver.
