If you're going to sit a few meters back I recommend a projector. It's quite cheap. -

For CAD, my personal experience is that it's a lot better with a professional card like a quadro. Any basic one will do, but helps a lot. A 1080ti should be fine if you don't do really big structures and expect really high performance.

I feel bothered with fps dips. I think it's pretty normal since it's like a small stutter.

With that graphics card, and if you spend a little more you could go for maybe a 1440p 100-140Hz display, or as I would recommend an ultrawide with a little higher refresh rate. But that would cost you double or even more

It's mostly up to what OS you want. I personally would go for the pixel, but that's just personal preference. You get basically the same performance and camera and stuff like that. Only thing is that the Pixel battery is a little better and that it has fast charging. So it's up to you what you want, and it's hard for us other to decide because the only thing that really differs is the OS, and you have tried both.

@TVwazhere. Yeah. Rock solid is the word to use!! @Ryan_Vickers. Oh no. I gotta say that if it's one thing I hate, it's small ports. And mini DP is like the worst IMO. I've had several nearly brake my computer, and they're not very confidence inspiring when u put them in, bc there's not much to hold it in place. Just friction. Conclusion. Big ports are the best! And also some kind of locking mechanism so that it doesn't fall out is good as well.

@TVwazhere Yeah!! That's really, really good, and I think that's one of the reasons I like Vga and Dvi. But Dp is not as sturdy and large as the other ones making me feel nervous.

@M.Yurizaki Dvi to Vga hasn't worked very well for me. I think it's that it's digital to analog, but I'm not sure. The monitor gets this blueish colour. If u have a solution that would be good.
