  1. So my brand new Asus laptop with a 6800m is stuttering like crazy, the frame rates for the most part are indeed high but it frame skips almost every few seconds. I've tried almost everything, even reinstalling windows with all the bloatware, and yet still I can't get rid of the insane stuttering issues. I'm at wit's end here, I didn't pay 1800 bucks for a computer that runs worse then my old crusty desktop with a amd fx cpu with 8 gigs of ram and a gtx 550. Can someone anyone help me figure out what to do? EDIT: For anyone who randomly comes across this in a search I have seemingly resolved my issue by disabling Wallpaper Engine. I am not 100% sure that fixed the main issue but at least for now it seems to have worked.
  2. It's screwed into the mobo itself, but your board lacks those points so it'll need a m.2 card slot that's compatible and at that point I question why you're getting this mobo when there are better options for the same price. Paul's hardware did a fantastic little video on the subject of m.2 types.
  3. True, but you're already dropping quite the lump sum for this set-up. The only third party shipping fulfillment services I've used personally operate in hong kong, japan, and korea. So I have no idea what would be trust worthy when it comes to UK, but I would assume there would be something similar.
  4. You could get a third party to ship it to you at additional cost instead.
  5. Not at this very second, but when I hit the road in a couple of months I will most definitely need.
  6. I remember that one, it looked like a frickin 1990s era laptop, soo thicc.
  7. Most laptops are exhaust by default using blower style cooling, this is especially true with tight form factors like the new razer blade. So the answer is probably yes, it's exhaust.
  8. It's the most popular option, but it isn't the best by far. If that were true everyone would still be using arctic silver 5.
  9. It is an extremely expensive device, but you are paying for portability with extreme power. The only reason why I am even considering dropping that much is because I need a portable powerhouse for what I do. Obviously building a system is much cheaper, but I don't have much of a choice when it comes to laptops.
  10. Might be an improvement, but it would make more sense to buy better parts now and upgrade the rest later IMO.
  11. Uhh, whoops accidentally posted this in general discussion...
  12. Has anybody gotten their hands on the new Razer Blade Pro yet? It's specs are jaw dropping with that sexy form factor, but I'm afraid to drop 4 grand on something without any reviews out.
  13. Yes, I've used it on multiple occasions, but I had to RMA almost every package I got. After the 6th time this happened, I swore off using jet.com.
  14. Personally, I've had nothing but bad experiences with amd in the past, so I recommend just getting intel and nividia.
  15. Short answer is no, and trust me you don't want the long answer. But seriously it's like playing russian roulette with that site.
