Well I use them as well, I just rotate them out when I feel like it. Besides people collect things so this happens to be my choice.

Well damn lol Thank you for pointing that out! So would a 200m be effective for creating Positive airflow compared to having 2 140mm?

That's what I was thinking as well.. I would be very sad if my 980 would get shorted IF the Watercooler happens to leak.

That could be an option as well, but sadly I would still be negative air pressure

I have seen a lot of people recommend those through various websites. I do have to check that out.

I can look into the MM200 anyway, I did order the Rival Fade because reasons.. lol

I do have to look into that, +2 on those so far haha.

I can't think of any worth anything other than broadcast microphones like we use at work, but those can cost upwards of $400 pretty easily

I know a lot of people recommend the G2 and for good reason, but I know a lot of people nod at Seasonic. While browsing around on PC partpicker I saw the price difference and wondered what PSU features it offers between haha,

    Hello Forum!

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between these two Power Supplies, excluding warrenty? On PCpartpicker, they are only $1 difference between these two.

    Thank you!

I really need to make a copy paste of this with the amount of times this asked.

Every aftermarket 980ti (Lightning and 980ti Kingpin excluded) are in the US within ~$40 or so of each other. The largest determining factor of your cards success will be the silicon lottery and not which brand you decided to go with. each card before OC performs within ~2% of each other and everything else after that is complete luck. Choose a card that has the best design / features / looks best to you / warranty rather than because you heard one performs better than another because in most cases it will not be true for you, it is a case by case basis. If you do not live in the US and prices vary much more do not spend $50 + on another card because you heard it was faster, only buy it if you love that company or the cards design DO NOT BUY BASED ON OTHERS PERFORMANCE. When it comes to the 980ti Kingpin and Lightning if you are not going to watercool, dont do it. If you are then it is possible that it can run faster than others but again still not guaranteed. my g1 gaming is faster than the 980ti kingpin that Jayztwocents reviewed, its pure luck! And only buy those cards if you are extremely serious about overclocking and benchmarking, otherwise it is again a waste of money (but i mean if you want to waste your money and get one anyways ... i guess go ahead i cant stop you)

TLDR buy a 980ti that makes you happy about its looks and extra features not about possible performance due to the wide range of possiblities when it comes to performance due to the silicon lottery.

Well I do currently own a 144hz and I agree its awesome

I mainly do play single player games, when I do play multiplayer it isnt always CS:GO and LoL, I mean just recently my girlfriend gifted me Serious Sam so theres that lol. The titles I am currently playing is Stick of Truth and New Vegas.

Yeah I learned that lesson real quick lol. I never experienced higher resolutions before, and the store that even carries high resolution monitors don't show off performance or demos, just the desktop. I don't always play AAA games anyway, I mean I am waiting for witcher 3 to go down in price.

    ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yeah I know that going 1440p 144hz is tough, though if I were to go with the former, it would be a G-Sync monitor. I mean I don't mind the score, I just like smooth game play, at least better than console lol.

I wish I can see it personally, but I have no reference in resolution to see with my own eyes and judge from there.

I prefer those as well, its a interesting choice I have to deal with haha

I agree with you. I feel like if you do more like 50/50 on gaming and applications, then it is easier to recommend the 5820k. If gaming was the focus then the 6700k doesn't look to bad. Just my opinion of course.

    shadowr1ku reacted to tomas710 in 4790k or 6700k CONSIDERING
It's like comparing a 980 to a 980ti, if you're only playing at 1080 60Hz, you're wasting your money on a 980ti, but if you play at higher resolutions, refresh rates or you plan on doing so in the future then the 980 ti makes sense. If you are only gaming, you won't use the extra cores, cache and processing power of the 5820k, but if you are doing CPU demanding tasks and the overall cost difference is acceptable, then a 5820k makes sense. Overall the 5820k is better, in gaming it will match the 6700k but in other tasks it will be much better, the only question is, does the extra processing power have value for you, simple as that.

I agree, I currently have an Asus Maximus VII.

Well I was thinking of maybe have a black/white build or red/white/black build. The purpose of the PC is gaming with streaming and maybe editing videos on the side

(for fun). I definitely want an enthusiast-looking quality to it. There are quite a few Motherboards that catches my eye but have yet to decided which platform to go on. And I

If I were you, I would go with the R9 390. Similar price, similar performance, but the 8gb VRAM definitely looks interesting. Then again you can't go wrong with either in 1080p gaming.

It's funny because I am on the same boat as you, either the i7-6700k or 5820k. Mainly gaming and light streaming/editing. A lot of people like to recommend the 5820k, but I decided to go with the former because if it is just a hobby, I would just start there. If your hobby starts catching momentum, then by that time you can start considering moving up to whatever 6-core processor Intel has. That is just my opinion by the way

Does a 1440p ultrawide monitor affect performance compared to a standard 1440p? I was planning to give my main monitor to my girlfriend (My BenQ) and I was looking into ultrawides. I only game though. I do have a secondary monitor (some acer model, nothing to special.

I am seeing that as well. I also saw on various forums that 3x 1080p is best suited for sim games than traditional games. Guess that Means I should be shopping for 1440p either normal or ultrawide.

As you know, The Asus Maximus VIII has some Red Accents. If that doesn't bother you then that is my recommendation (I also have the Asus Maximus VII )
But if you are going for color, then the Deluxe will serve you very well if you take full advantage.

DDR4 is going to be the new standard in the near future. There is also DDR3L but I haven't seen good news about that.

However if you can live with semi-modularity instead of full, and don't need hybrid fan mode, IMO the 750B2 is a better buy for your money then the 750G2.
