  1. Now when loading defaults then choosing xmp at 2993 the system runs good without boot cycles. Maybe it just needs to be warmed up before using it
  2. bumping the frequency up to 2800mhz makes the system bootcycle once then it worked, i didnt understand how to set SOC to a static number or how to even access it through my bios, ive yet to use memtest but did some prime 95 testing and it seems to be stable
  3. Should i do any tests inbetween? 2666 seems to be stable without the boot loop thing happening
  4. so i should enable profile 1 (2933) and manually set the frequency to 2666? also im not certain i understand soc and if there even is a setting for it in my bios. ill be back with results in acouple minutes
  5. As title states ive been getting some issues trying to run the xmp profile of my ram with my setup. they are currently running at 2400mhz and rated for 3000 o.c my cpu is a R5 1400 motherboard is gigabyte https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-A320M-S2H-V2-rev-11#kf (ON BIOS F10) <-- might be an issue, would like to know more about the issues and benefits of the different bios my ram is https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CnzZxr/team-night-hawk-rgb-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-tf2d416g3000hc16cdc01 i have TX 650w bronze rated from corsair Any help is greatly appretiated, if you need more info or specifics just post it below EDIT: system works flawlessly without trying to use the XMP profile, when XMP is enabled system bootloops and eventually boots with the overclocked ram running at the correct speed, allthough ive always gone back to the original speed because im worried running it at higher speeds after crashing might damage the hardware
  6. changing from fullscreen to borderless did actually give me 1 random fps, and also i would not be able to screen capture without being borderless or windowed
  7. its abit pricy but if its gonna breeze through latest titles at ultra 1080 im down
  8. To keep my budget would it be smarter to go with 3600x and 5700xt do you think? and then what ram and mobo would be the best suited ones?
  9. @Sauron These are my results jumping into live games above is lowest settings, below is highest settings note, textures does not change since i didnt restart but its sort of emulating the results i was explaining earlier.
  10. @tech.guru thank you! exactly what im looking for but wont the 4gb struggle with games like tarkov?
  11. @Sauron I'm guessing my results are because I am playing locally (offline without AI) but is there anything that stands out in these pictures? While having higher settings gets me 60fps here i can feel that the game is alot more sluggish with the inputs... Full restart after changing all settings. I don't know exactly why this is more textbook increase of performance than i expected, but im guessing that if im going online and there are players and AI the cpu has to work harder and the performance takes the hit that brings me down to 40 fps regardless? or am i clueless on this one?
  12. 970, thing is ive been trying all kinds of settings on tarkov and it does not seem to matter if i play on ultra or all the lowest settings, outside a big parkinglot ive tried all this and consistantly seeing ~45 fps no matter the settings with 100% gpu usage cpu is around 50-60% load. ill send more benchmarks unless we come to a conclusion now
  13. im getting around 40-50 fps in tarkov and i think my cpu is dying since its been overclocked for the majority of its lifetime, also i cant have it crap out on me if im in the middle of a university thing, so im kind of in a pinch.
