  1. Inspect the socket for damage. Did you apply excessive force either removing or inserting the RAM? RAM itself is genereally pretty resilitant. It could also come down to needing a clear CMOS, have a look for some information regarding your specific laptop how to clear the CMOS. Install the ram, clear it, and see how you go.
  2. Honestly in my expirence, each will give you what you need so long as you go for a laptop with a dedicated GPU. I would be looking for what retailers have the best deals for either one. If you can get $100 off an Intel one with same / similar other internals, I would be going for that. Also, it obviously comes down to exactly what Ryzen series you are looking at.
  3. Hi, I cannot find any information about this on the web, so I thought I would ask here. When my computer gets to the lockscreen, it is black for around 10 seconds before the display actually displays the screen. I know it is still functioning as I can input my pin while the screen is still black. The system displays the bootup screen perfectly fine, it is only when it gets to that. Would this potentially be caused by the fact I am using Windows 11 insider, or is there another issue I could potentially try fix. TIA, KillerGamingBro.
  4. Yes of course I won't find something new, just after recommendations from people based on experiences
  5. Hey Guys, I recently purchased a 6700K and was thinking about upgrading to a z170 motherboard to be able to OC. Looking for any recomendations for good Z170 mATX or ATX boards for overclocking, with M.2 , without being of extravegant price. I am in Australia. TIA.
  6. thats a good idea, I will do that. Thanks for your advice!
  7. 2070 Super can be found under 800 for me, thats not biggie. My main issue is will I be bottlenecked badly if I buy something like these? and then there is that, which I don't know if im ready to do especially since everything runs really well, just annoying with Doom eternal tbh.
  8. Budget (including currency): 800 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video and Photo editing and rendering. Autodesk Inventor, Aftereffects, Photoshop. Looking to play AAA titles at high. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have had my current setup for a while and while it still goes pretty well although I struggle with high settings on newer games, and with only 3 GB VRAM on my GPU itll only run low on doom eternal. On Doom Eternal I run it at 70 fps at the low texture settings, with everything else ultra but im looking for hopefully around 80 FPS at the high settings. This is all 1080p. Any recomendations on what I should upgrade would be great, I'd like to keep the mobo if possible but it open to all ideas. My Cpu is the Intel i5-6400 and my GPU is theSapphire Radeon R9 280x I have 16 Gb DDR4 Ram on the Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H. Thanks in advance!
  9. Hey Guys, I have had my current setup for a while and while it still goes pretty well I find that the FPS is starting to drop below what I'd like on high settings on newer games, and with only 3 GB VRAM itll only run low on doom eternal. On Doom Eternal and it runs it at 70 fps at the low texture settings, with everything else ultra but im looking for hopefully around 80 FPS at the highest settings. This is all 1080p. Any recomendations on what I should upgrade would be great, I'd like to keep the mobo if possible but it open to all ideas. If I could just upgrade the GPU without the CPU being a bottleneck that would be amazing, although if I have to switch both thats alrihgt, but ideally having the CPU stay compatable with my mobo would be great. I don't think RAM is a problem. Budget not too much of an issue, but I'd like to stay under 800 AUD if possible. Computer is as follows. -CPU- Intel i5-6400 -GPU- Sapphire Radeon R9 280x -STORAGE- 1x Western Digital 1TB HDD 1x Samsung M.2 1TB SSD 1x Crucial 275GB MX300 SSD -RAM- Team Group 2 x 8GB DDR4 2400mHZ -PSU- Corsair CX-M Series CX650M -MOBO- Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H
  10. Hey, Looking for a new pair of lightweight wireless headphones, choosing between the CX 6.00 or the Beats X. I can get them both for around $110 AUD. Wondering what I should go for, any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks, Aidan.
  11. I did use a USB. The thing is on my main Rig and another computer I used the exact same USB with no problem.
  12. Hi Guys, I am attempting a clean install of Windows 10 on my Hp x360 Laptop. The install goes quite well and then it restarts and boots straight to the HDD. It gets to "Getting Ready" before getting stuck. Its stays on that screen for 2 hours or so. I have restarted multiple times only to get the message "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encounter an unexpected error. windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, then restart the installation". I have done the installation 3 times now with the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, KGB.
  13. Lol I have loads of room that is no problem, and I have just always preferred using the number pad.
  14. It may be because you haven't plugged anything into the CPU Fan header on the mobo. Try plug in a fan and then it should work.
  15. Hi Guys, I would like to get an RGB or Green backlit mechanical gaming keyboard. My price is hopefully no more than $120 AUD. I'm not 100% sure what switch I want but realistically whatever switch you guys would recommend for CS:GO, DOOM, Wolfenstein, etc. I do not want 10 keyless. Any more questions feel free to ask. Thanks in advance.
