  1. it does lage behind when the system is very busy tho, I sat at 200k and a bit for the first 2 days of the event and then suddenly got all the points for the WUs I finished in that time.
  2. that did the trick, thanks mate. Now both my GPU and CPU are back at work.
  3. It's now over 24 hours since my GPU folded anything. I restarted my PC 3 times in that period, still nothing. My CPU is happily folding all the time. Something is definitely wrong.
  4. According to the Internet the perfect brewing temperature for coffee is 86-96°C (186.8-204.8°F). If we don't wanna brew it in there but just keep it warm we can go much lower, to 67°C (152.6°F)
  5. GeForce GT 520. It barely does over 2k PPD, but as always, every bit helps. Actually this made me curious how often people said "every bit helps" in this thread. apparrantly only 23 times. But of course there are a lot of variations, and the search function doesn't account for typos.
  6. Has anyone else not gotten any GPU work for about 12 hours? Also: Folding helps keep my coffe warm: (I know, bad cable management, but this is just something I quickly chucked together from old hardware, will be disasembled after the event)
  7. I decided to set up one of my older PCs for folding. Can someone tell me which parts of the Nvidia driver install I should install for optimum performance without any unnecessary bloat? Like, does Folding benefit from the PhysX software, 3D Vision or GeForce experience?
  8. I was just wondering: I don't have the most balling gaming rig, but what I have is a storage unit full of older hardware. Is it a good idea to run F@H on that? Can it even finish WUs in time? I'm talking about stuff like early to mid 2000s macs (both PowerPC and Intel, most of them with a GPU), a top of the line 2005 Gaming Laptop (Dell XPS M170), an old PC with I think a Geforce GT520. Anything retro that doesn't have a GPU is probably not worth it (modern CPUs barely are as it stands). Is it worth my time to go and install some kind of linux on all of these?
