  1. christ the red and yellow """"watermarks"""" don't get any less obnoxious do they......
  2. without looking into it at all yet, the name sketches me out, very clearly trying to capitalise on call of duty (see the literal first reply).
  3. One would think you have a personal stake in billet with how concerned about this you are and how unwilling you are to accept the answer.

    Skynet be like...

  5. sounds like begging with extra steps
  6. Completely different situation... you can't use this to say that AMD is innocent for messing with dlls. Shill less hard please.
  7. agreed. i re-read the article (though short) and it is quite vague as to what happened and what instigated the blocking in the first place.

  9. Summary Cities Skylines 1 had a..less that optimal launch but quickly became the city builder of choice for many people after the abysmal Sim City 2013. But it seems like CS2 is on track to be even worse. it has already been confirmed that it will not be releasing with mod support, something that kept the first game interesting for so long, but now pre-release testing has reportedly shown the game to run at 7-12fps on an i9 13900KS with a 7900XTX at 4k high settings and a 4090 not even able to hit 80fps at 1080p low settings on the old recommended 5600x as the system requirements were suddenly changed at the end of september. Keeping in mind the game is launching in a few days. Quotes 1080p results 1440p results: My thoughts Unfortunately they know about this, but their management don't care and are making them ship it regardless, the epitome of "release now fix later", but given how badly CS1 still runs, don't hold out too much hope for amazing optimizations to come out any time soon another video from City Planer Plays took figures on fps at different population levels at 4k with a 7950x3d and 4090 Population 1K: 52fps Population 10K: 34fps Population 25K: 28fps Population 50K: 27fps Population 75K: 25fps Population 100K: 24fps the full data can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JIUokAXWOvHYsVZzJv7Skju5oKgm0-r4/edit#gid=1737240722 So if you're thinking of picking up this game, dont expect to play it on anything other than low-medium if you want anything other than a slideshow if you're running anything higher than 1080p Sources source of text https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/cities-skylines-2-reportedly-runs-with-7-12fps-on-an-intel-core-i9-13900ks-with-amd-radeon-rx-7900xtx-at-4k-high-settings/ source of images and original testing https://www.pcgameshardware.de/Cities-Skylines-2-Spiel-74219/Tests/Release-Benchmarks-Performance-Tuning-Tipps-1431613/2/
  10. Ethernet is not just internet. If you have any form of NAS or regularly transfer between PCs on the same network then gigabit really is the minimum you should have
  11. That's assuming that the primary reason for the sub drop is still the fallout of the bad info and Madison stuff and not just people getting bored/finding new interests/subscription fatigue.
  12. honestly, if you're traveling that much, you're better off just getting a powerful laptop. there are pico ATX power supplies that would be what you're describing, but i dont see that being able to power your system, they are meant for low-end ultra compact PCs
  13. a "soft" solution that i used to use before just going full adblock was extensions that auto-mute and auto-skip ads. you still get the mid rolls, but you don't get the absolutely jarring volume blast and sometimes the auto-skip works on the first frame of the ad. firefox currently has an extention that replaces the adblock popup with a youtube embed player (which i don't think they are allowed to play ads on since embeds are usually from other websites). it's a bit jank and the videos don't go into your history, but it otherwise "works"
  14. Entirely a personal choice. I don't care if people use an adblocker or not.
  15. I've seen quite a few people unironically saying "stop using webMD, just ask chatGPT instead"
  16. which doesn't impact this week. they are releasing videos when they are actually done, not just rushing them out. if it takes 4 extra days to make sure a video is 100% accurate, then you just get to wait those 4 extra days.
