... typically AMA's are for people who have done something significant... who are you again?
That's not even true. Sure the most popular ones are of people who have done something great or are from famous people, but normal everyday people do them all the time.
You don't have to participate, other people may want to and clearly have.

Being a female would you say that you fit the Ozzie stereotype of excessive drinking and cursing or would you class yourself as having a more feminine personality?
HA , I barely drink. i drink like twice a year. I do curse when i'm around people im comfortable with (not excessive though), I also know how to turn it off when i need to be professional or around new people. I wouldn't call my self feminine either. I feel like I'm half way between girly and tom-boyish. To be honest, I have no idea what i am.

That is very strange.
I can only imagine the "publish" date changes with each edit, instead of staying at the original post date?
edit: well, looks like you can change the date to what ever. it's now been published since 2015! not sure if that's a bug that should be reported?

Seeing as you live in Australia, which of the millions of things that are trying to kill you, are you most afraid of?
not an animal, but a plant.
very generic looking plant,
Stealing straight from wikipedia
Dendrocnide moroides, also known as the stinging brush, mulberry-leaved stinger, gympie gympie, gympie, gympie stinger, the suicide plant, or moonlighter is best known for stinging hairs that cover the whole plant and deliver a potent neurotoxin when touched. It is the most toxic of the Australian species of stinging trees. The fruit is edible to humans if the stinging hairs that cover it are removed. (because that's a good idea to eat the fruit of something called the suicide plant)
Contact with the leaves or twigs causes the hollow, silica-tipped hairs to penetrate the skin. The hairs cause an extremely painful stinging sensation that could last from several hours to 1–2 days, recurring to a lessening degree for several months or more whenever the area is touched, exposed to water, or subjected to temperature change. The injured area becomes covered with small, red spots joining together to form a red, swollen welt. The hairs are also believed to be released to the air when the plant is cut or cleared in large areas. Workers without respiratory protection have reported sneezing, runny noses, mild nasal bleeding and throat irritation while cutting or clearing. The sting is famously agonizing. Ernie Rider, who was slapped in the face and torso with the foliage in 1963, said:
For two or three days the pain was almost unbearable; I couldn’t work or sleep, then it was pretty bad pain for another fortnight or so. The stinging persisted for two years and recurred every time I had a cold shower. ... There's nothing to rival it; it's ten times worse than anything else
The recommended treatment for skin exposed to the hairs is to apply diluted hydrochloric acid and to remove the hairs with a hair removal strip. If this is unavailable, a strip of adhesive tape and/or tweezers may be used. Care should be taken to remove the hairs intact, without breaking them, as broken hair tips, if they remain buried, will only increase the level of pain.
fuck this entire thing's existence, not jut because of what it does, but that it's jsut so generic looking for what it does, you could come across one and not even know until you've already been stung.

@Arika S Can you compare the experience between Cherry MX Red vs Blue in typing and in gaming if so, can you also explain tactile bump vs no tactile bump and how much more effort is required to use Cherry MX Blue vs Red is an extra 5g of force required noticeable?
It's very hard to explain in words an experience regarding something that ultimately comes down to personal preference.
Best i can do is show you these and recommend you go to a computer store with keyboards on display and try them out for yourself
I much prefer the blues, it's a much "crisper" feeling, i just wish they weren't so loud. 5g is basically nothing

If you had to chose a super power, what would it be - and why
Shape-shifting. Who wouldn't want the ability to like like what ever they wanted? Most people would say flight or something boring, but with Shape-shifting i could turn into a bird (or, hell, even a dragon) and be able to fly anyway. it's just such a versatile power that has endless possibilities.
My backup would be Telekinesis
QuoteWhat is your favourite computer part, and why (if you don't have one, feel free to say so)?
Keyboard is what i'm the most picky about. It's hard to find a keyboard i'm happy with, but once i find it, i can swap out as many other parts as needed, but the keyboard will stay the same.

new question from my PMs
QuoteAre you gay?
I'm not "gay", no. You would most likely be able to classify me as Bi, with a male preference. When I was single I was more prone to look for a boyfriend but i wouldn't say no to another female if i liked them. I have had girlfriends before when I was younger but those just kind of happened.

Might be a dumb question but how do you make your nice profile pics with the circle shape and little parts sticking out? They look really nice and sleek and I'd be interested in how to create something like that in the future.
Simple answer is: photoshop
The extended, proper answer would involve me creating an actual tutorial for it since it would be too hard to explain purely in text. I can see if I can put one together in the next day to two since you're not the first person to ask.

What's your favorite subject in school?
It's a close race between Drama and Graphic Design. Neither of them actually help with my current job but they were by far the most enjoyable classes

Whats your favorite musical instrument and why? Does it invoke happy memories? The sound of it hit you emotionally or just really fascinate you?
<_< i like music.I never learned to play it, but it would be the Harp. String instruments are by far my favourite type of all instruments. the harp is the most graceful in my opinion and the most interesting.

And is it still alive?
Partly, I think i only asked once what i should get and then did research for about 3 months or so before coming to a decision.
I ended up getting a Lenovo Yoga 720 13". I use it every day for regular browsing/usage and I also use it for drawing/art

sounds like being a girl/woman sucks big time.
being a girl online does for sure. but some of them crave attention, i'm not one of them

I've got a similar question for ya. Not sure what kind of games you are into but, what are your experiences with online games that use voice chat?
I'm a guy and, I don't use voice chat but, from my experience, whenever a girl dares to say even a simple "Hey" or "Hello" the whole thing just kinda turns into a big mess where everyone wants her attention.
It doesn't always happen but, it has happened way too many times.
I've given up on using voice chat. The "good" experiences outweigh the bad in terms of numbers only. but the bad experiences outweighed the good in terms of everything else. Most of the time the reaction was "cool a girl" that's it. Just wanting to get a girls attention is rarer (at least in my case), generally it was people berating me, verbally abusing me (for any little mistake, or even like dying in a FPS game where respawning is a thing) sexual comments, unwanted PMs and friend requests. Some people just get really weird when playing an online game and they know there's a girl, it's like they lose all semblance of how to act normal because there's the anonymity of being online.
It's also part of the reason why i hid my identity on here for so long because of the similar demographic.
not necessarily part of the answer to your question but there was someone i was friends with that i met on a game that we used to play together, but it turned sour when he was under the assumption that i was his girlfriend and i liked him (we never spoke about being in a relationship at all) it was just that i was the only female that he was friends with (both on and offline), so i guess it was inevitable that he would develop feelings. Ever since then, i feel like i need to tell people "Don't mistake friendliness for flirting".
