Matt Walsh is a religious nut job. He's attempting to slander voters for voting based on some sort of cult of personality rather than policies. The reality is that for the two front runners in the 2020 Dem race, Warren and Sanders, their support comes from the overwhelming majority of Americans supporting their policies. Granted the GOP and supporters of candidates like Beto are only in it for the politician specifically, the majority of the voting block is not. 

He's also grasping at straws to differentiate being a "fan" of someone vs. "supporting" someone. It's a real waste of a tweet. 

Be that as it may, he's not wrong in this statement.
