Im looking for a gaming capable laptop for school for a budget of $1500 aud. I’m most interested in weight (needs to be light for portability, LF under 2kg), battery life, dedicated graphics and reasonable build quality:
These are some of the laptops I’ve rounded down to what I’m interested in:
1. Acer swift 3 SF514-52
+ 1.7kg, ~6hr battery life, mx150 graphics, well built
- glossy panel (non-touch), slightly hard to open, some sharp edges

2. Gigabyte P34G-10 v7
+ 1.7kg, 1050 2gb graphics, runs cool, no gamer-y looks (benefit in my part as I’m taking it to school, don’t want to be judged as that edgy gamer kid with the violently red laptop *cough* *cough* dell Inspiron), price is a steal
- poor battery life 2-3 hrs
