Multiple cores and threads

High End System
Windows 8.1 x64 / Windows 10 x64 RAM: 64 GB or much more 3.4 GHz CPUs (Intel) total 8 core Graphics: AMD Radeon
RX 480 8.0 GB Multiple PCIe SSDs Monitor: single 1280 x 1024 pixels up to dual 1920 x 1200 Mouse: 3 button wheel You're looking at the X99 platform and probably something like a 6900K, doesnt look like a GTX1080 is necessary though (Makes sense to me, most of these programs rely on CPU, not GPU, I''m a CAD techniciam so I would know)

he should ask the people who made the software, they usually have a "we recommend this kind of system" they can give you to start from.

No
If there is any difference at all, it will be so small it's unnoticeable.

check compatibility, as some laptop manufacturer's are enormous douche's when is comes to upgrade *cough..hp..*cough...
check form factor. most but not all use a 2.5" form factor, you might also have compatibility for a Msata drive (not to be confused with M.2, despite wiki's arguements they are not the same) What you can fit determines what upgrades you can use.

wayland64 reacted to nkucz in What GTX 1070 Is Actually The Best...
Not true, if you want high frame rates like 144 fps you definitely need a 1070 for 1080p gaming. Plus if you want to future proof your system, why not.

wayland64 got a reaction from EDWIN THOMAS in CPU Overclocking
I would not suggest over clocking a Mobile chip. Especially sense it is the u series. The performance gains do not at all out weigh the potential damage that could be done. Laptops are not designed to be overclocked

wayland64 reacted to Omon_Ra in Which Web Cam For Streaming?
Personally, I don't think the 60fps matters much for your webcam. Gameplay, sure, 60fps is definitely better, but for your face down in a corner; or even for web-chatting and such, 60fps is really more of a drag on your bandwidth than any visual benefit. And also, 60fps will need more light than at 30fps; so if you're mostly in a darker room, it may not even be worth it. I've heard the RealSense background removal stuff is actually half decent, but I think it's pretty dependent on the environment. If it's between the c922 and the 920, I'd just go with the newer c922 since they're the same price (Logitech website lists them both at $99.99). The c930e is a bit more expensive, and seems to have a slightly better lens, but it does have a slightly smaller FOV (45* versus 78* on the c922) so again, depending on your setup, you'd need to decide which would work better.
