after some thinking and discussion on discord i've come to the decision of building an AM3 rig. 

 

it'll probably have a Phenom X4 955 and 16GB of ram... i'll probably use a 290X (i have that spare) and maybe even crossfire 290X's if i can find another one.

    Ah well just in case you change your mind, it’s the FX-4300. I don’t mind shipping international.

    @RoseLuck462 that's about the same in terms of geekbench score as the X4 955 i'll be getting. so it wouldn't even be an upgrade.
