  1. Bing AI is fucking awesome. i just to test it asked it to recommend me some anime on crunchyroll based on an anime that i've recently seen, and it actually did a good job recommending similar anime's

  2. so basically, if i wanna watch a movie i plug my laptop into my TV. but when i do that, any video i play back in Chrome is very stuttery until i close chrome and relaunch it. my laptop's specs: 7700HQ 16GB Ram GTX 1060 1080p 120hz screen my TV is an ancient Philips dumb tv, 1080p 60hz. when i plug the TV in the laptop is configured to disable the internal screen, because i control the laptop from my couch using a phone app. is this issue a Chrome bug, Windows issue, etc? what can i do to fix it? it's very annoying having to re-open Chrome all the time.
  3. (talking about WAN show)

i'm surprised that Luke thinks buying cd's is weird. i still buy them. having a physical copy is cool, cuz streaming services suck and can just take music away (see neil young spotify drama) and another part of it is nostalgia. i still have a 1990's hifi set up, putting a disc in a player is weirdly nostalgic for me idk why.

I love how FileExplorer is like the slowest thi…

File Explorer is so sucky, if you have an external drive with a lot of folders and files, whenever you open a folder that has like 100 items in it, it'll load for like 2 minutes. ugh.
  5. as the title says, i have a WH-1000X M3 headset, that i've had for i think 4 years, maybe closer to 5 years. it's served me incredibly well so far and i have no issues with it, other than the battery life not being what it used to be. it lasts about 2 days with my use now, and it'll give a low battery warning on the evening of the second day. when it was new, this was a week. are there any resources on opening these up and replacing batteries? it it possible at all? i'm comfortable soldering if i have to, i'm willing to deal with some inconvenience if it means i can fix this very expensive headset.
  6. HDMI to VGA daptors exist and are super cheap. they typically don't produce a great picture but for discord or smth should be fine.
  7. look at reviews from when the 1070 launched, it'll have been compared to the 970 at the time.
  8. Realtek network cards are just buggy in my experience. if you can, use a cable.
  9. it labels them as 1 5 and 6 because those are the ports the drives are plugged into. also the second screenshot looks like you can select it there... does it not remember that?
  10. Browser, version and OS: Google Chrome Version 111.0.5563.66 (Official Build) (64-bit) Windows 11 64-bit 22H2 Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened? resize window to get narrow layout and scroll down What happened? sections at the bottom of the site stretch waay longer down than they should What did you expect to happen? that's pretty obvious lol Link to a page where it happened, if applicable: home page Screenshots of the issue, if applicable: Any other relevant details: not applicable If it's a cloudflare error, what was the ray ID from the bottom of the error page?

  12. it could be the memory or mobo aging then if it's only an issue with XMP on. since your system is quite old and intel based, XMP shouldn't affect performance that much. a simple fix for this then would be just turning XMP off and running the system that way.
  13. you could also try to narrow it down further by stressing only 1 part of the system and see when it crashes.
  14. this is probably just Windows 11 being Windows 11, aka a buggy OS. maybe move your stuff over to the other unaffected account and just use that one going forward?
  15. that's interesting. do you have another computer? if you do you could swap parts from this system into that to see if any particular part is faulty.
  16. the stretch could be the display, make sure it's not set to auto-scale resolutions. most displays by default will try to fill the entire display no matter what resolution is given to it, which would cause that issue.
  17. ah fair enough. the PC gaming community is full of rampent consumerism so like..
  18. when you say "restart" do you mean a blue screen of death?
  19. assuming your signature is current and you have an nvidia gpu, custom resolutions can be set in nvidia's control panel. here's an article on it: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/759/~/custom-resolutions
