window snapping i just use Rectangle for. iirc Apple can't do the windows-way because Microsoft patented it. not their fault. 
 
the full screen thing in Firefox is a Firefox issue. Chrome and Safari both behave normally. it's just Firefox. 
 
Volume for individual apps is stupid. i dual boot Windows on my Mac and i've never ever felt like wanting to use that. the only time it comes in handy is when i wanna turn down spotify but keep the system volume high for watching coding tutorials on youtube while listening to music. but like, spotify has it's own volume control i don't need the OS for that option. 
 
why you want to create an empty file in a folder is beyond me, i've never needed that. 

theoretically that shouldn't matter, but you never know with stuff this vintage. i have a system much older than yours, with a first gen pentium and currently 16mb of ram, it too is extremely picky with ram. 
 
the easiest option is going to a thrift store that has ancient computer stuff on the shelves, i have one local to me. that way you can find the correct ram very cheap...

speaking on bandwidth and "more resolution isn't always better", i was watching this on floatplane, on a 2012 13" MacBook Pro, which only has a 1280x800 display. therefore, there's no need for me to bump the res to 1080p (the max i have as i don't have the 4k tier, there's no point i don't have a 4k display), and look at this:
 

 
look at the blockyness of the background. i wish since Linus obviously knows that it matters that the 720p experience was actually good, because why else would you have it. i understand that setting it to 1080 on this computer is pointless, since it only has a 720p display effectively, but then the quality is so bad it looks more like 480 due to all the blocks..... ugh

he needs to at least make sure the forum doesn't cost him money to run, monetizing with ads is a way to do that. if you don't want it just block it. easy enough. 

you might have tripped the power supply overcurrent protection. have you tried unplugging the computer from power, leaving it for 10 minutes and then powering it on? without the new gpu installed ofc?

if privacy badger blocked it then all is fine no? do you have any idea how many websites use google analytics, google ads and amazon ads? if you don't want it then the solution is to block it which you've already done.

no you don't... lol. the M2 blows it away and you can buy a Mac with an M2 for way less than $2K...

Generally ram just works until it is dead. If you can see it running or at least have a return option incase of DOA, I'd not hesitate.

rufus actually is valid, the media creation tool is trash. it's often more reliable to make a windows installer using rufus and a .iso if you know what you're doing.
