i own a few SAS drive's and since it's 10K rpm and is listed as a SAS drive it's highly likely that it is one.

Only windows can emotionally damage you. But seriously best of luck escaping the hell that is windows 10.

That's not going to work on a UEFI BIOS. UEFI needs a separate UEFI-partition for the bootloader-stuff.

Did you let the setup configure partitions automatically, or did you do it manually?

I remember the last mineral oil build and thought it was fun. I think it would be interesting to see what difference mineral oil might make compared to conventional liquid cooling and air cooling now that it's a thing to use liquid metal instead of regular thermal paste on components. Give mineral oil systems another go with some "hot" (heh get it?) new components after changing them over to liquid metal. 

nah if i'm gonna give it away i'm gonna give it to a friend of mine. besides sending around something that heavy isn't worth it. 

i kinda liked 8.1... at least it was kinda consistent. metro apps had a look and the traditional desktop had a look. it was nice and seperate. now it's all over the place. the settings app is metro style but then the file explorer is the traditional desktop style and extremely annoying to use with a touchscreen. 8.1 in my opinion was a lot nicer to use than 10. not just for stability. 
 
stability will come eventually. i'm more focused on the "maybe yeah" part for now  
 
because i don't find iPad's useful at all. i had one, and all i did on it was watch youtube. the point is this. on an android tablet or iPad the ui really holds me back. i'd much rather have a full desktop OS that i can actually be productive on. 
 
mediocre hardware? i think all current iPad's are faster than the Surface Go, but i could be wrong. i think Austin Evans showed that in his video with a load of geekbench score's from current iPad's and the Surface Go. but again, i could be wrong on that. 
 
 

i use an app to set my own fan curve. i can keep mine below 60 with normal use.

quad core, hyperthreading and 15W TDP. sounds like what you want. look for laptops with that chip.

i have kinda big hands too, and i use a 15" MacBook Pro. it's nice to have a place for my wrists. if you have the chance to use a 13" laptop for a little bit, maybe ask a friend or something, try to find out if you can have your hands and wrists in a comfortable position for typing on a 13"... if you can't just get a 15". 
 
i can't really give you recommendations on specific laptops, because i'm not too familiar with them as well.

why didn't you build with used hardware? just for the price of the ram you could have had a quad core cpu+motherboard+ram...
