Chrome now has a built-in dark reader, at least in the Canary and Dev versions. you can enable it in the flags. 
 
The flag to edit is: #enable-force-dark
I've found that just setting it to enabled works the best, but you can experiment with different settings.

I've experienced noticably faster browsing compared to chrome with the Dark Reader extention installed, and it seems to work better on some sites. however it has some problems on others, and unlike Dark Reader you can't just turn it off. doing that requires going into the flags, disabling it and restarting Chrome, however i think that when this is out of beta there will be an easy toggle for it somewhere.

I just installed the normal release of chrome, and it’s not there. 

Good everyone making dark mode native and realising it's very useful. 

Tips to everyone reading this.
1) Don't randomly change flags you don't understand what they do just because someone on the Internet told you to.
2) Don't disable QUIC.

One more reason to build your own security system instead of using a cheap chinese one.

You probably have the wrong GPU drivers enabled in the kernel. I can't remember how to do it, but I do know that @Twilight helped me with this exact issue, and he'll probably help you out.

i'm just giving my opinion on their points. i didn't contest some, because they were right there. but at this point other than gaming and compatibility Windows doesn't do it "better". 

All this is coming from a Windows user. They never even TRIED Linux/OSX. It's all biased from a Windows point of view.

Linux is superior in it's own ways. BTW, Linux doesn't get BSODs...

it would have been dead with Windows 8. Windows 8 was a good OS, but the crap that it got in the media would have killed Microsoft straight up. 

Yeah, but I bet if Linux had the funding and manufacturer support of Windows, Windows would be the "hipster OS".
