Sort of surprising, and yet not really. Because for either to continue they'd both need to cooperate.

Good to see them finally shake hands and move on.

to do this the GNOME foundation needs funding, and they have set up a place where you can donate.

The Linux Gamer did an interview with Neil McGovern, the executive director of the GNOME foundation. a lot of questions are answered in that interview.

my opinion: attacks like this are bad enough as it is when used against commercial software, but can kill a free software project instantly because these projects are often run by volunteers for the most part. this is terrible, and i'm glad the GNOME foundation is taking this to court.

I'm sure they know perfectly well that other huge companies (Apple, microsoft, google, etc.) all have products that directly infringe on this patent.  It's just that they also know if they were to dare poke a giant like that they'd be crushed in an instant.  Obviously a case of picking on the little guy hoping they can't defend themselves.

I hope GNOME wins. I was interested in who was suing GNOME so I looked it up.
Here is the actual patent, and to say it is vague is an understatement. This is legitimately what Rothschild got a patent for in 2008.

It basically just says "transfer images wirelessly to a computer and sort them in some manner".
It doesn't even specify how they should be sorted, or how they should be transferred wirelessly.

ok first things first, what graphics card do you have? graphics driver and kernel are the first things to sort, after you have that sorted you can install Steam and Lutris and start playing your games

Honestly this is ironically a little frustrating since I check the comments to see what worked and what didn't, what people want to see and what they don't, etc. It's certainly flattering and honestly the positivity is part of why I'm getting more comfortable doing on-screen stuff, but it's kind of a double-edged sword from that feedback perspective.

Honestly same. I'm glad I can sort-of evoke the memory of Luke's more in-depth stuff on the channel, since that was some of my favourite content, too.

This is really the most surprising thing for me. The first time I was in a video on YouTube, I expected to get torn apart and was like "oh crap what have I done". I don't think I looked at the comments until the next day.

My favourite hoster at LTT was and might always be Luke... I really miss when he'd host LTT and Techquickie videos.

Anthony however has filled up the gap and while I don't personally have a whole lot interest on the videos he's normally in like the hackintosh ones he does put up a great work at it.

People in general seems to appreciate Linus giving him room on the screen and are being supportive and vocal so Linus continues to share screen time with Anthony, we all know LTT as a whole does what "sells best".

if people keep calling tor network "dark web" that shitty saying of "where you buy drugs" will never change. The reason behind BBC launching their tor site was so that people in countries with heavily censored internet can read news. Please people stop sensationalizing shit.
