wow, linux has sure gotten easier... i decided to install it again after LTT's latest video, and even though i'm somewhat of a linux expert it surprised me eith the simplicity of things. 

all i had to do to get the witcher 3 working in linux was install DXVK dependencies and make sure my 290X used amdgpu drivers, all very easy to do in Arch, and then just tell steam to use Proton for that game and install it. 

now yes ther eis a performance hit and some framedrops but it's playable even on aging hardware. very impressive.
