well dammit. my zenbook is having issues again. 

 

my brother is staying at his gf's house for a week and he needed a laptop, so i borrowed him that one, but he just texted me that it no longer boots, and he showed me a picture of the setup and it no longer detects the 850 EVO. 

 

once he gets back i'm selling that stupid laptop.

    @RoseLuck462 it's not his fault. it broke for me, then i reseated the ssd and screwed it in super tight and it was working for about a week, but maybe the car journey was enough to vibrate the ssd loose. the sata connector in the laptop is bad i think, because it's not making good contact...

    you could use clear wax to hold the connectors in place if you do it careful, it will hold things in perfect place for a long time while remaining safe & be non conductive & will come off with enough force applied to it without leaving any residue. old school AIO desktop builds used to do this for case fans & HDD for long distant transports & such.
