the one thing i hate about a dual-monitor setup with the bezel in the middle is if i stare at one screen for a long time and i forget to rotate my chair, my neck hurts so bad when i move my head to look at my other screen....
-
that completely defeats the purpose of dual-monitors. the great thing about dual screens is that Windows sees it as 2 seperate desktops. that's the whole point lmao.
-
@Bananasplit_00 my issue is not with the bezels, but with the position of the displays. if i sit here watching netflix for an hour and i forget to rotate my chair towards the display with netflix on it my neck will hurt when i'm done
-
@Bananasplit_00 i've done that for years now, but i got tired of it. i used the display to the side way less than i wanted to because of the angle.
with the bezel in the middle the displays are at equal angles, and i can rotate my chair towards the one i want to focus on, while still being able to type.
having one screen to the left made typing in a program on that display uncomfortable.
but i have 2 identical screens, both 24". so it's not one biug screen and one small screen.
-
@DrMacintosh yeah i couldn't do that. if i had an intense conversation on discord my neck would hurt like hell after 10 minutes
-
@TopHatProductions115 still. that won't give me the screen space of 2 24" 1080p panels.
-
Go here:
Enter 1920, 1080, 24. Take the PPI/DPI, and find a monitor with at least twice that, and twice the size (ultra-wide). Might be a 3K panel that you're looking for...
-
@dizmo my neck is fine if i rotate my chair towards the screen i want to focus on...
but yea i need to use my computer less. the issue is i have basically no friends IRL. so when i get home i sit at my pc until i go to sleep.
-
i can't. i have issues with the joints in my body, so if i do that i'll be in so much pain after that i can't sleep.
i'm fine going cycling or walking the dogs or whatever, but that's about it. it will hurt too much otherwise.
