i'm doing some ram and ssd swapping... i'm putting the 1TB ssd and 16GB of ram from my 13" MBP to my 15" MBP, and the 500gb SSD and 8GB of ram from that into the 13".... 

 

that will balance them a bit more i think. the 13" isn't fast enough to take advantage of the 16gb of ram and 1tb ssd. the 15" is fast enough to run VM's with ease so that hardware is better suited into the 15".
