i'm sad rn... my pc just turned off while i was playing a game and the red warning light was on (it's a server) so it's basically dead.

luckily i do have another board that will fit all of the hardware currently in my rig, and a spare power supply. so as long as the cpu's, ram and gpu are still good i'm happy. this board and psu combo (it's a pre-built server) only cost me €50 so i'm not that mad. it's just annoying that i have to move everything over to a different machine and reinstall my OS.

yep. it just died. i'm not sure what's wrong with it but i'm not trusting that mobo or power supply anymore.

yep. luckily i have a quadcore macbook pro to use while it's dead... i won't have time until the weekend to fix it so...

Don't reinstall just yet. Try plugging in everything first and running this (Microsoft documentation) when the PC gets to the desktop. Since the hardware is similar enough, though not identical (same chipset, PCI-e devices, and drives - different motherboard), you may be able to get away with just plopping your stuff in and letting Windows reinstall the drivers+updates after generalising the image. Just let it remove devices as well, seeing that PCI-e mapping may be a bit different. Believe me - the last thing you wanna do is needlessly wipe your drives for an identical chipset if you don't have to.

@TopHatProductions115 i basically only have Overwatch and chrome installed on that OS so it's less of a pain to just reinstall it.

as well as the fact that the ssd's are currently in a raid controller and that other board doesn't have one. so i'm screwed regardless. i need to format the drives.
