  1. I use a Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H. My new graphic Zotac gtx 1050 ti when mounted results in black screen. My old graphic card gtx 650 ti also had issues. I've tried everything over the last many months. I read that Updating my motherboard (flashing) might help. So I want to dedicate this post, asking help for how to update this particular model. I'm one stage better than a noob. Noob 2.0 I guess.
  2. Which one of the power supplies is better among the two ??? Corsair RM 850 or the Corsair RM 850i ? I'm in kind of a hurry now. I'll follow up with additional details later.
  3. I have been trying to trouble shoot a black screen with a new GPU. So, I've been reading a lot on many forums. First of all, I'm kind of a noob. Was tempted to reply on your post because I've read a post on tomshardware with the same problem as yours and I cant remember if he/she managed to find a fix. I tried finding the link to it with out any luck, as the threads were pretty long. Though I'll try looking for it once I'm back home from work. Updating BIOS, switching between the PCIE slots on your motherboard (using the slower *8 instead of *16) or if you have more than one PCIE * 16 slots, were some of the fixes that I remember reading( not sure if the fix was for the exact same problem). I'm currently convinced that my PCIE slot is corrupt/ damaged as my new gtx 1050 ti is giving me the same problem that my old card ( which some one convinced was defective - gtx 650 ti) and a small probability that it might be the power supply. From your tests PCIE slot on the mother board as you tested your card on another board. PSU problem - maybe. I can say more but it's going to be very vague, so I'll try finding that link for you.
  4. I'm going to start the build with the same card some time soon. Do let us know how did you end up orienting it. Thanks you
  5. Decided to wait for the GTX 1080 ti. Also, Unless the intel i7 7700k and the compatible high end asus motherboard aren't too expensive, I'm getting them as well. Untill then, I'm sticking with my older rig: MOBO -> GA-H77-DS3H (1.1) CPU -> intel i5 3570k @3.4 Ghz RAM -> 16 gb @1600 Mhz HDD-> 1TB GPU-> Replaced a broken Zotac gtx 650 ti with Zotac gtx 1050 ti mini. ( waiting for it to get delivered ). sigh :'(
  6. Considering it only if the friend returning from the US gets it at a decent price. amazon at 1599 $ A little too expensive.
  7. Here are the specs that I have in mind right now. CPU: i7- 6700k GPU: gtx 1080 ftw hybrid ( Alternatives : gtx 1080 ftw > asus rog gtx 1080 oc ) Mother board: Asus maximus 8 formula ( maximus 8 extreme/assembly, If the upgrade is worth the money ) CPU cooler : corsair h110i. RAM : Gskill trident z 3200 mhz. SSD: samsung 850 evo 500 gb. HDD: WD 2TB black. SMPS: Corsair RM850i - fully modular. Case: Corsair 780t. Location : India ( stop judging guys ) Purpose: Mostly gaming but also I use it for CAD application such as solid edge and CATIA among other softwares. VR on HTC vive. I'm shelling around 2,10,000 lakh rupees i.e. 3123 $. It's the cheapest( reliable ) that is available here. BUDGET: Should be around the 2500 $ US so that it'll be around 3000$ here. Coming to the important part. "HELP 1": Should I be waiting for the " KABY LAKE 7700K" and the "GTX 1080 ti" with their release being right around the corner ? As it's the holiday season some of my friends are flying back to India from the US ( may be because of TRUMP ) and I can get the parts from them. I'll have to make a decision ASAP to make my build much cheaper. The problem with waiting is that I'm really not sure when they ( i7 7700k and 1080 ti ) are going to be available in India let alone their release. Also I'll have to shell out much more. "HELP 2": Will the mother board mentioned in the current spec sheet work with the new parts with a BIOS update?. Generally not the type who likes waiting but as I'm spending all my money, I want to get it right( more like perfect ). Would have missed some Important details as I'm pretty sleepy at this point. All sorts of suggestions appreciated. Monitor: Asus pg279q. Not included in the main description as I have saved up for it on a separate tab and I'm getting it for sure.
  8. It's December and there's no news about this board. I'm disappointed as this is exactly what I'm looking for. Found any leads about it ?
