Froody129 got a reaction from anthonybalao in Which Mechanical keyboard switch to get!? Blue or Red (for work/gaming)
I can type very quickly on my Blues (much faster than I could ever compose tbh) but they're very loud and the high actuation force means that typing is more fatiguing. My favourite is Browns but it also depends what Browns. The Corsair MX Browns feel like a Red with dirt in them - just horrible.

In the end keyboards are entirely subjective. Some people love Blues and never want to use anything else and others prefer just a membrane. I'm currently using a low-profile Brown board and it's great, for me. Try some out if you can.

Froody129 got a reaction from AreUSure in Should I buy a used keyboard from Ebay?
I would suggest just getting a cheaper keyboard than taking the risk on an eBay one. You can get brand new keyboards from the likes of Redragon that are still built like tanks (likely better than Razer tbh...).

A lot of keyboards is marketing. Razer is more expensive, but it certainly isn't better. Up to you to decide if the brand name and the marketing that goes with it is worth it.

You could always start with only a smaller SSD and save some money. Then you could go for a faster GPU or something.

I spent a couple minutes trying someone stuff and these edits may have improved (this section of) the image a tiny bit:

Although I am sort of worried the edits done would also harm the detail in the image.

    This was edited in Gimp.
I used the 'Curves' panel to kind of bring the the different shades closer to each other, which got rid of most of the lines.
This was what I used, for reference:

Then afterwards only a hint of the lines was left.
The 'hints' were removed using the 'Hue-Saturation' panel in Gimp (probably present in other programs too, it's where you can edit the hue/saturation/lightness of colors separately).
In there, I was able to remove the last hint of the lines in the most obvious places.

Sadly though, the background does kind of get mangled by those edits, plus you are missing a lot of light/dark on the shirt too. But I think those might be the sort of editing panels you could mess around with.
Maybe you should 'cut up' the image digitally, so you can work on the background and such separately.

Right but in the sense of the word being used for this it is saying one thing has more control over the other. As one is a master and the other thing is it's slave. It's the proper use of the words and has no affiliation with a race or anything like that. The same applies to other words like retard. You can retard the cam timing in a car or retard off the throttle but if I was to call someone a retard it's not okay at all. Like I said before I don't care if they change it I just am failing to see how it connects to racism or was used improperly.

Doing a multi GPU set up today is a waste of money especially for gaming. New games don't even have multi GPU support, so it would be absolutely pointless for you to buy 4 quadros(not even gaming cards) or even 4 GPUs in general for a gaming machine now. If you use the computer as a workstation as well where you would actually utilize them then it might be worth it, but just gaming? Hell no.
It sounds to me like one or more of the cards may be failing. You should test each card individually one at a time before doing anything else.

Ahh, so mass protests, civil unrest, and a pandemic occurring simultaneously only counts for a weeks wait to Sony...I'm sorry but only waiting one week is still pretty tone deaf. Just shows that all they really cared about was their announcement being overshadowed by the news and not actually caring about the issue imo🤷‍♂️

I definitely agree frivolous lawsuits are commonplace, but you certainly don't have to be a conniving Bond villain to be held responsible for your actions. If you hit someone with your car because you weren't paying attention it doesn't mean you aren't to blame.

If you make statements in an analyst call which influenced stock pricing you are responsible for those statements. Yeah people aren't perfect, but when you get paid as much as these CEOs that is what is expected of you.

Microsoft is finally replacing its discontinued, since over a year, old Edge web browser in favor of its new Chromium based one of the same name, but now with a new logo. The new web browser is not tied to the OS like the old Edge web browser and can now update independently, and we see it already get a number of updates continuously. That said, as Microsoft doesn't want people to use its old web browser, it is now delivering the new one via Windows Update. The update will remove the old Edge and install the new one. Microsoft mentioned in the past that they'll do this, as the old Edge has been completely discontinued, beside for security support (as UWP apps can use it).

For a while now, Microsoft has been working on its new web browser with official versions already being released for a number of months. You can see the new Edge web browser as Chrome web browser but with Microsoft services instead of Google, with their own implementations (including OS integrations, such as notifications) and their own polish and optimizations. Since Microsoft started this new Chromium Edge web browser with interesting results, Google felt the pressure to be active again in its own web browser. You may have notices a series of new features being released often in Chrome recently, this is why. That said, as Chromium is open source, many of these new features added by Microsoft or Google, benefits both web browsers, making the user, us, win regardless.

If you are unaware of the new Edge web browser, here is quick overview:
The web browser, being Chromium based, like Chrome, works with the very same extensions from Chrome. In fact, you can go to Chrome extension store and just install any extensions you see. It has nearly all the same features of Chrome, as it is essentially the same web browser. For what it lacks, Microsoft has its own feature set. For example, Google is working on colored tabs and tab grouping, while Microsoft new Edge web browser has Collections. A feature which allows you make groups of tabs which you can label and keep aside, allowing to not only clear your tab bar, but also have these groups sync between your devise, including Edge on Android and iOS. So for example, if you are doing a research on something and have multiple tabs, you can regroup them, and close them out, and start a new group if you want for something else, another project of yours, like your research for a new computer for example, and you can switch between them. Collection can be shared and moved to Word and Excel, an notes and can added on the collection itself. Another feature is improved tracking prevention, which you can control from the Settings panel of the web browser. Or another one: "Continue on PC" allowing you to send a page from your phone Edge web browser to any of your PCs while you are on the go (if your PC is turned on), save it for later. This is just to name a few things. The GUI has Microsoft touch on it. From little things like icons on buttons and text boxes, to making the Settings panel be organized and easy to navigate. It is availible for: Windows 7 (yes), 8, 8.1, 10, macOS, Android and iOS. Linux version was teased at this year at Microsoft BUILD event It also available in 32bit, 64bit and ARM64 (for Windows 10 on ARM based systems) flavors. It also has IE mode for companies who run Windows Enterprise that can be enabled, as well as GOP integrations, and custom home screen. So in other words, use the one you prefer, both are excellent web browsers with teh same great performance as you would expect.

I assume it also conveniently alleviates supply chain issues related to COVID-19. While BLM is certainly a very important movement, I reckon this was just a handy excuse to delay while 1. Supply chain is affected by a pandemic and 2. the presence of riots and looting severely dampens the excitement factor of a new console launch. I do get criticised for being too cynical, but I don't think this is just some act of good will.

On the other hand, this shows that the riots are effective and impactful. Disrupting major commercial operations means that they are going to have to be taken seriously and appeased. Hopefully this finally creates positive social change in America.
