  1. Yeah, I was thinking something along those lines... Like repurposing a couple of TV arm mounts
  2. Right now, I'd recommend waiting until 3.0 before you get into the game, if you're expecting gameplay and enjoyability. I'd always recommend getting a starter package at the least (Aurora or Mustang, with the Squadron 42), as you can always upgrade your pledge down the line.
  3. I'd recommend going for the package including Squadron 42 if you aren't already... As for the technical side of things, I have no experience with AMD products, but I'll recommend anything with more than 4 cores and clocked at a minimum of 3GHz, with a GPU comparable to a GTX 1070. I would also suggest at least 16GB of RAM to make sure you have enough to dedicate to the game, without bottlenecking other processes (or having the game itself bottlenecked because something is eating up your RAM in the background)...
  4. There can still be lobbying and nonsense, no matter well the system is policed, so I'm just thinking of early deterrents built into the main Articles of Association (the document which incorporates a corporation, basically a constitution)...
  5. Yeah, I know... And you can't really execute someone in a video game... But hey, I'm just spitballing here... Plus, never a bad idea to limit HC's individual power, lest someone go nuts. Not saying I don't trust our lords and masters, I just like to avoid things I've seen happen in seemingly well-established corps with good communities back in my EVE days...
  6. Well, in the High Council sense, most corporations are dictatorial... I was thinking more along the lines of giving one person within the HC too much power, a'la Palpatine (or, if you know your history - that bloke who ruined Chaplin's moustache). The term limit idea is mostly for the elected council, really, for the same reason...
  7. If we can't post in here, then I'm sorry. Can I make a a suggestion and ask two questions? (this being the first one) 1. What are the new sections? 2. Suggestion: Limit the consecutive terms a Councillor/High-Councillor can have to say two (the standard in most, if not all, democratic systems I'm aware of) to prevent elected dictatorships.

Hmmm... Try clearing your browser's cookies, and manually clear any login/auto-fill preferences you might have saved for the discord site... That may help... A screenshot of the issue might also be useful...

Try logging in through the computer app. Also, when going into discord through a new computer, note the main thing tells you to enter a name, which is for new users, while the actual login button is up top on the right.
  10. Windows AV has never been "good"... "OK for the 5 minutes it takes to install a third-party AV" but never "good"...
  11. If you feel like you need to, or want to just feel like you're supporting the development early, get yourself a pledge. Don't get the largest thing you can. Start small, I'd personally recommend one of the starter packages, the ones with Squadron 42. Play the alpha, get a feel for the game and decide on whether you want to spend more or stick to your starter. An Aurora or Mustang is fine for a starting ship, so no worries. If all that doesn't sound like something you'd do, wait for 3.0 and reassess.
  12. Does the Amazon link work? I've been hearing people have been having trouble with that... Also, if so, does is work in the UK/EU?
  13. Hmm... I've been considering this: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/asus-transformer-mini-t102ha-10-1-2-in-1-silver-10148433-pdt.html and my girlfriend seems to like how it looks... For what it is, it doesn't appear to bad. Certainly no Surface, but still a decent 2-in-1... Thoughts?
