by rule of the thumb, anything that delivers data to a client is a server. thats why its called a server, it serves its clients data   and glad we could be of help

Thank you for the information. I did not know that a NAS is a type of server. What you are describing is exactly what I would like to do.
I am currently playing videos off of my HTPC. The problem comes with Netflix and iFlix. They do not natively work through my Linux/Kodi setup. I am trying to simplify my setup to make it easier for my wife to use it. She just wants to turn on the TV and watch videos no matter where they are from,
Thank you for the information. I will look into FreeNAS. Making a localized file server sounds like what I am looking for.

Thank you all for the replies. You have given me more information to help me decide what to do.

I did a double take when I saw that myself. The list of games that it can "play" is also misleading.

You will not be putting any screws into your graphics card. They will attach to your case using the screw holes that just below your graphics card. With the one I use, it has an adjustable piece that makes contact with the graphics card. Here, Stop your heavy GPU from Saging,  is a video from Youtube that shows how to install the type that I have.

    I hope this helps.

Sorry for the delay. I am not an AMD person, so I had to ask a friend of mine to look at his laptop that has an AMD GPU. This is what I found. Go to the Radeon software and click on "Display". Then click on the "More Options" button. It will open up another settings window. In this Window, there is an option called "Power" with a subsection calles "Power Play". There you should be able to adjust your settings. I hope this helps.

BTW, if you are still using the Catalyst Control Center, there is a tab in there for power management as well. That is where you can adjust the needed settings.

    I hope this helps!

It is "Valve" and "Steam", not "ValvE" or "STEAM", or "VaLVe" or "StEaM", or any other variations.

A Windows 7/8/8.1 or 10 key will still activate Windows 10.

What in the world are you even talking about?

    1. Trump doesn't need to be in business during presidency, he has billions of dollars to his name. He could just stop working for the rest of his life if he wanted.

    2. Trump is only accepting $1.00 USD as his presidential salary.

    3. A conflict of interest does not merit an impeachment, it would have to be proven that he abused his position in order to dramatically further his business to merit impeachment.

    4. Impeachment doesn't mean he'll be removed from office.

BS, President Andrew Johnson was impeached in 1868 and President William Clinton was impeached in 1998.

Impeachment does NOT mean removed from office. It means that the House of Representatives has formally accused the President. The Senate will then try the President and if found guilty they will then be removed from office.

    Hi @prem0910!

@linesma gave a pretty cool basic troubleshooting steps and agree that this will give you a good idea about what is happening with the PC exactly. The only thing I would add is to test both drives with the manufacturer diagnostic tools and see what the results will be - I prefer such tests instead of chkdsk because these programs and tuned to the specific firmware of the drives and therefore will show more accurate results. Such tool you can use if you have a WD hard disk is Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for instance:

Just don't forget to make a backup of your most important data on another location before you start so it could be safely secured there.

Once the test is complete feel free to upload some screenshots so we can take a look.

You will want to ensure you don't exceed the amperage of your USB output as mentioned. For those strips I see it mentions that there are 9 chips for half a meter so a full meter will have 18 of them coming out to 4.32W which is under the 5W capability of a 1amp USB port while providing some saftey margin. So as long as you don't exceed two 0.5M lengths you shouldn't have any issues.

On the surface, your drives look okay, but one or both could be failing. I honestly think one of your hard drives is going bad. Before you go to JIB, Advice, or InvadeIT and buy a new hard drive, there are couple of things I would check.

    1. Check to make sure your Sata cables are properly attached to the hard drive and motherboard. A loose connection can work fine under normal load, but fail when it is pulling a lot of data. Like when you are gaming.

    2. Check the temperatures that your drives are running at. I know, from living in Thailand myself, heat can be a big issue here. Use a program like CPUz for this. I have seen drives slow down and even stop working because they got too hot.

    3. Try using different SATA ports on your motherboard. If this fixes the problem, you may have a bad motherboard.

    4. Take your D: drive out of your computer and see if the problem continues. If this fixes it, then your D: drive maybe bad.

    I hope this helps!

You should be fine. Since it is designed to run off of USB at 5v. You really only have to worry about the amperage when you are custom building an LED setup.

Depends on what LED strip you are using mainly if it's 30LED's/meter or 60LED's. However for SMD 5050 LED's (0.24W/chip) even at the 30LED's/meter it would draw 7.2 W which would overload a USB connector, unless you use something like a 2A plug in USB power adapter/charger.

You should be fine using a basic USB extension cable for power. The time to worry about length is with data transmission, but with with a short run of a couple of meters, you should be fine.

IC Diamond? How hard is that? I'm not actually sure what is easy and hard to get in Thailand.
Shin-Etsu is decent enough, haven't used in a long time though.
