  1. I'm firmly against LTT supporting PIA now. Also, I think they should now do a video detailing the strengths and weaknesses of different VPNs. Plenty of lists I've found have Cyberghost on there, which makes me wary of them as CG is owned by the exact company who is causing the exodus from PIA!
  2. Hi all, I'm fairly new to server hardware and RAID, and this PowerEdge R710, that was a gift from a friend, is my first proper server. While looking for documentation on the server, I saw something about if you have a PERC6/i RAID controller, the maximum capacity per drive you can have is 2TB. Now at the moment, this isn't a problem, I'm happily using three 2TB drives I had lying around, but I have plans to eventually run six 4TB+ drives in software RAID5 in this server, and I would like: 1. to clarify if this limit applies to my use case 2. to find out if my particular R710 has this limitation Thanks in advance
  3. I am SO glad I paid montly! I only found out about this because I was looking into why I couldn't access bbc.co.uk with PIA, and was considering quiting over them, allegedly *ding*, giving up on BBC & Netflix access, then I noticed this slow-motion car crash of a fiasco! I really hope LTT gets on top of this! PS. Less well known is that PIA also sponsors an alt-right Mastodon fork called Gab, and it's been bugging me that they do...
  4. Hi, I would like to know how to remove lighter blemishes on the screen, particularly noticeable at high brightness, from the screen of my B50-80 Lenovo Laptop (80EW00HEUK), and if not, would a screen from a similar B50-80 laptop suffice as a replacement, particularly a spare screen for a B50-80 (80EW02A9US). Thanks
  5. Hi, I'm not sure this is the right place to ask about laptop screens, but I would like to know how to remove lighter blemishes, particularly noticeable at high brightness, from the screen of my B50-80 Lenovo Laptop (80EW00HEUK), and if not, would a screen from a similar B50-80 laptop suffice as a replacement, particularly a spare screen for a B50-80 (80EW02A9US). Thanks
  6. Okay, it doesn't have to be the exact size of an XBOX. It just needs to fit within that 80cm wide 15cm tall area, and happily live with the Virgin Box.
  7. Hi all, I'm wondering if you can help me find a case for a HTPC I will soon be building for myself, and my folks. The HTPC will be equiped with the Intel DH77DF with a Wifi chip, a Core i5-2400, 8GB of G.Skill Ripjaw RAM, and depending on the size of the case an ASUS AMD Radeon HD 6770. (I'm repurposing some of my old rig's components). The current cooler, will likely be replaced. There are 4 things that it must absolutely have or be: 1. The case needs to be small, around the same size of an XBOX 360 or a set-top box. 2. It needs to not look like a computer, if at all it needs to resemble something that you'd normally find in a TV cabinet, think TiVo box or games console. 3. It needs a slot for an optical disk drive, as this will be replacing a DVD player (FYI we never jumped onto the Blu-ray bandwagon). 4. The case must have at least 1 USB port (preferably 2 USB 3.0 ports) on the front. There is only one would like, and that is a SD card reader, however, this is not essential. The dimensions of the area in which this HTPC will sit are approximately 80cm wide and 15cm tall, no need to be concerned about depth as there is plenty room behind the opening. It will be sharing this opening with a Virgin Media TiVo box which has a width of 37cm and a height of 7 cm, so it either be underneath or next to the Virgin Box, depending on the size of the case. I have found two potential cases which I feel meet my use cases, both being of the Silver Stone Raven series, the SST-RVZ02B, and the SST-RVZ01B. I am hoping you lovely folks can help me find a potentially better option for this HTPC. Thanks in advance
