GitGud reacted to LogicalDrm in AAA Games help
Blizzard is owned by Activision. They haven't been indie since mid 2000s. I wouldn't call CD Projekt RED indie either as Witcher is mainstream game. Minecraft is prime example of indie game. FEZ is another.

There's a company called Activison - Blizzard, they're hardly indie LOL

AAA means it was made by a big name publisher with tons of cash/assets/workers etc... the opposite to AAA is indie what is usually a group of a few people making a game
so AAA is like Bethesda, sony, gearbox, nintendo the ones that have million dollar advertising and booths at E3 and all that jazz.

High rating/high budget/high production value games. Witcher 3, Battlefield/Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, GTA, Assassin's Creed etc etc

Yes, it is most likely due to the Pentium. I used a celeron g3900 as a placeholder CPU before i got my i7 and my gta V was unplayable until i swapped it out.

This is why you should never pay to beta test a game for someone.

GitGud reacted to DisconnectedYT in Please DO NOT Buy Escape From Tarkov!!!
FIRSTLY THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, YOU ARE ALSO ENTITLED TO ONE!!! <3
So... how do i begin (TLDR below), near the beginning of the escape from tarkov beta i purchased the standard edition, servers were trash for anyone in or near Australia as there was no dedicated servers for around 6 months. I was pleased with the game and after giving us new servers it seemed to run ok. I then went and made a post on the Escape From Tarkov Beta Tester Fourm and stated that the devs were kinda scummy for not allowing refunds even though in Australia it is illegal to refuse a refund (The ACCC made Steam create a refund system :D), i wanted to know why the devs did not allow for refunds. In my post show below i did not use foul language and also was not intentionally being racist to the devs, however after only 10 minutes i was hit with a forum ban.
As seen above i was not overly rude, i just wanted to know about their scummy business practices...
The post was then removed and i was banned from the forums... THE BETA FORUMS WHERE YOU ASK QUESTIONS AND GIVE IDEAS!!!
The censorship from these devs is ridiculous, not to mention their breaches of laws put in place by the ACCC
Also below is the reason why i was banned.... utter garbage
PLEASE DO NOT BUY INTO THIS GAME!
TLDR: There is ZERO customer service and don't even think about getting a refund, if you have cash to throw around, fine buy the game but don't expect any respect from this company staff!

GitGud reacted to DrDerp in Games you go back to?
I just have the question of what are a few games you always go back to? Games you play even though they are old, or even though you have beat them several times. For me, I would say Borderlands 2, Hotline Miami, Quake, Doom, and Half Life 1.

GitGud reacted to bleedblue in How do you guys n gals deal with nostalgia over games that can't be played anymore?
I grew up in the early 2000's and so a lot of the games I grew up with are still playable. Every time I go home to visit my folks, I invite my childhood friends for some good old couch coop/versus games on the PS2. The only games I can't play anymore are those from my early, early childhood in the late nineties on MS-DOS. I remember playing Final Doom, and this one game whose name I can't recall anymore. It was a platformer where you play a space guy with a funky looking helmet and a pogo-stick on one level where you beat up living balls. Like basketballs with eyes and mouths.

I haven't read any reviews. I'm enjoying it so far, though I'm not that far in.

Pick up ME:A a couple of days ago. Definitely fun to play so far. The story isn't bad, but the dialogue can be extremely bland at times.
