That's pretty much the point of this post, I wanted to see if anyone had this experience or knows more about this matter. I don't want to experiment with my brand new 200D and electric fields  Atm I won't be buying new lenses, but to be fair, the camera was pretty close to the business (<3m). I don't weld much, and welding has nothing to do with my everyday life, but I might have the opportunity to try again next month. Will keep a safer distance, but I really don't want to fry my camera

Oh I know you meant welding in your post, I was just refering to  wedding photographers XD
Oh wow I never considered that, if thats the case try shooting with a longer lens so that you're not so close to the welder to prevent this problem? If you have the budget you could try shooting with something like the 100mm Canon macro lens which is really pricey, but its a very good lens. Or if you wanna try something "cheaper" maybe try this 105 mm macro sigma lens?

Yea I never knew welding was capable of creating an electric field. Maybe try experimenting with it? shoot a 5 second video with the welder on 15 feet away, then 10 feet, then 5 feet, then shoot at the distance you normally shoot and see if the videos get corrupted, and just to be consistent take a laptop and off load every 5 second video every time you shoot it. If we see that the video does get corrupted as you get closer to the welding scene, because from what I've found reading around so far is that (like you said) welding (or arc welding in the other posts I've found) creates an electro magnetic pulse that can and will interfere with electronics. So if we find that this is the case with your videos then you probably will have to shoot with the 100mm macro lens so that you can be a safe distance and still be able to get some clean videos of the sparks flying and stuff

no yea I totally get you, formatting is generally an extra step to make "extra sure" that nothing goes wrong.

Were your other videos shot on a different day than the welding videos? Did you import files from your SD card onto a computer and then keep shooting without formatting? Generally what a lot of wedding videographers do to ensure that their videos have a minimal chance of corruption is formatting their card after every time their offload/import their files onto a computer, that way they ensure a "clean slate" when they continue recording. I personally haven't ever had a video corrupt when I shoot video on it, but I have had pictures corrupt on me. As for recovery theres this great little guide for potential fixes you could try using VLC!

I'm not that great in translating what I learned in school so I googled it and someone was imo more capable than me to explain how the boiling point of two (or more) mixed fluids works. To summarize it's kind of a trajectory instead of 1 set temperature, so it'll start to boil as soon as it's hot enough for alcohol to boil but it'll continue heating until water is at it's max liquid temperature not counting all other stuff in Jägermeister for the ease of explanation. Because if you'd consider those and try to boil all liquid out of Jägermeister you would have just a messy residu of spices and such left unless you were to boil those as well lol

you cant get boiling temp of mixture. when heated above boiling temp of alcohol, you shall see steam (or maybe bubbles) gradually coming out. this will give you a false image of the overall boiling point
also more "impurities" lowers the boiling point

Ethanol boils at 78,37 °C, water at 100 and the rest of the stuff probably dont matter much.

Dont know what percentage alcohol Jagermister is, i just pulled 40% out of my ass but you can just look at your bottle and change the numbers. Anyway here is what i got:
0,4*78,37 + 0,6*100 = 91,348 So ~91,35 °C in that case. Just change 0,4 to whatever part is alcohol and 0,6 to 1 minus whatever 0,4 was changed too

    *edit*
Looked up Jagermeister, seemed to be 35% so here is the calculations for 35%
    0,35*78.37 + 0,65*100 = 92,42

The 56 plants won't matter much because they will not boil anyway. If you boil jagermeister it's the water and ethanol that will boil, not the species.
For boiling purposes, you can think of it as 35% ethanol (boiling point of somewhere around 80 degrees I think) and 65% water (boiling point of 100 degrees). Since it's mostly water and ethanol, and they have somewhat similar boiling points, it will basically be the same as regular water. My guess is around 90-93 degrees.

could be a LOT better, was it cold out when you sprayed it?
    plasti-dip tips:
    1. Place Can in Hot/Warm Water when not spraying, especially if in a cooler environment (I find 70-80 Farenheit to be ideal spraying conditions, you can go into the 60's using this trick, do not spray in temps colder then that).
    2. Multiple thinner coats is better then heavy coats
    3. Remove ALL masking tape IMMEDIATELY after spraying the final coat, DO NOT give it time to dry.
    4. DO NOT SPRAY IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT (sunlight causes the dip to begin drying while in the air which gives you a rougher texture, if you must spray outside spray at night).

First of all, life happens. Second of all both phones are great for their market. However, have you looked into getting an Oppo Find X, that phone is just pure looking bliss and not that bad of internals. But from what I can tell, the Zenfone 4 has a little bit better hardware in it and seems to also be the phone that can have more accessories like cases for it so as to not shatter the phone.

    LUL, educate yourself, PLEASE.

The human eye doesnt see in FPS and there is no limit. The human eye sees through light, well light triggers the impulse to your nerves.

You said the human eye cannot see faster than 30-35FPS well, so lets assume someone is controlling your room light and set the light to turn on and off 30-35 per second. Will you notice a flicker? OFC you would because thats why 50hz light bulbs got invented, most people were annoyed by the massive flicker.

The reason why these low FPS/Hz numbers and "the human eye can not see X(put random number in here)FPS" came up from begin with is recording technology. Because you can get a butter smooth watching experience at 24FPS while watching movies. But this effect is due to the recording technology which also records "native/natural" motion blur, this doesnt excist in Video games and is therefore a whole different story.

I can instantaneously differientiate between 60fps and 100+fps on a 144hz Monitor, the massive amount of blur below 100FPS while moving is enough to tell, letting alone the about twice as high input lag. But you might say everyone is different and some notice a difference and some dont and ill agree on that. If i put my grandma in a chair letting her play csgo she might not even notice that she is the one moving the character when touching the mouse.

Because you can get a CPU that can do current Ryzen gaming performance for $29. Its always performance -> price with high diminishing returns. And point of view.

Lol right? On another note guys, no matter your preference, be on the look out for the 7nm and 7nm+ CPUs of 2020-2021. Since we are fully doubling transisters, we can expect to see some MAJOR performance increases from both sides. I fully expect a 10-Core/20-Thread Ryzen 7 4700X clocked around ~5GHz with a ~5.5GHz boost, and probably an 8-Core/16-Thread i7 11700K clocked at ~5.3GHz with possibly as high as a 6GHz boost.

2020-2021 is looking to be a SERIOUS year for CPU performance. Expect both AMD and Intel to go all out on their FINAL Silicon-Based CPUs as we hit the 7nm barrier and computer scientists are forced into coming up with a completely new way of computing or manufacturing CPUs, as furthering CPU performance as things currently stand becomes a physical IMPOSSIBILITY.

I've only read the post highlited as Best Answer, and I can already tell that you managed to trigger a bunch of people here  And that might be a little  more than you actually came here to ask for. While the rest of the posts in the thread might as well be very informative, I understand that you just want a decent CPU for gaming, nothing more, so I'm just here to suggest that, while basically any medium tier recent gen CPU will do you just fine for the next years, you might want to go with AMD on this one on consideration of the AM4 platform being newly released, and AMD promising to keep it alive at least until 2020, with new CPU generations coming to it in the next years (starting with the 2x00 that will be released very soon). Besides, if you're on a moderate budget, you might want to invest in a decent video card as well, and while Ryzen CPUs are quite decent all round, their lower prices will leave you just a bit more cash to spend in there.

Good luck, whatever your decision might be

docomeister reacted to WereCatf in I broke off two transistors on the motherboard
It all depends on the damage: replacement-transistors can always be found online, if the markings on the transistors themselves are still readable. The bigger worry is, did you damage the solder-pads on the motherboard itself? If you did, it's gonna take some extra work to scrape off the solder-mask to expose enough of the traces (if there's any left!!) to be able to solder some modwires to run to the transistors, and the modwires have to be of appropriate thickness.

To me, this looks like a motherboard problem. You are getting random errors, and as I read your other posts, everything might be caused by the motherboard (except the buzzing noise).

My second theory is the PSU. What PSU are you running? PSUs can make weird noises and if they do, that's definitely a problem. Unstable power delivery can cause a lot of weird problems. When you hear the buzzing noise, try slowing all your fans (except the PSU fan) with a finger. PLEASE, DON'T STICK YOUR FINGER IN BLADES, just gently push the rotating center of the fan and look for change in the noise. If that is not changing the noise, it's the PSU.
