  1. My prediction is Dennis breaks one of them during a random channelsuperfun 2017.
  2. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4Zc2WX $236 before shipping with an HDMI out. You get what you pay for. Could get $206 if you use linux instead of windows and $166 if you use a cardboard box or a slab of wood instead of a case.
  3. for the SSD I would just grab like a 1TB Mushkin or somthing basically any brand you trust. No need to get anything to expensive for storage as the speed changes are negligible in my opinion. about $150 for 500GB of storage or $300 for 1TB as for the X99 cpus it would be like a 6800k or 6900k depending on what you want. 6800 is less speed per thread than the 6700 but has 12 threads instead of 8. but again you get the PCIE lanes for stuff like your m.2 slots and other add-ons since you will be using probably all 16 lanes for SLI. Unless my memory does not serve me correct. You could then get a m.2 SSD that uses your extra PCIE lanes for super ridiculous speed storage.
  4. The crystal series case I just find SUPER impractical as you cant actually handle it by 4 of the 6 sides all so that you can see the fans on the front and top. Like I said though purely opinion nothing wrong with the case. x99 would be a chipset improvement for only a slight premium over what you are already paying. About $40 on the motherboard $0-$200 on the CPU for double the ram slots and significantly more PCI lanes that you could easily use if you go SLI. Didn't read well enough I guess to notice you already have a 1070. Just remember that it only does something if the program you are using is made to make use of SLI and often it will just sit there a look pretty.
  5. Nothing. Intel doesn't have to compete with what AMD releases since AMD isn't competitive in this market.
  6. Personal Preference/Opinion Incoming Can't Stand the case for non-baller rigs. case needs to be modded and fully watercooled to not just look like money was dumped on components. This I think is a cleaner/similar Case but again pure opinion. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16811108480 CPU it is what it is nothing else competes in that slot. Ram Speed doesn't really matter go for size then looks. Timing matters to some people but never seen anything significant. Nothing wrong with the motherboard. Again at this point motherboards are mostly just personal preference. I do though looking through all of the stuff you have and are buying that there is a disturbing lack of SSD storage outside the 128GB boot drive. And last. At this price point why not x99 and a single 1080?
  7. I don't disagree that the 470 is a fine choice too if it hits the numbers he wanted. He stated he wants to spend his full budget so his original card choices seem solid for hit position. Just like to point out other options as some people watch these you tubers then buy graphics cards that are far more powerful than they need to play WOW, League of Legends, and CS GO. Just because they here that other cards are better. Like to provide a different viewpoint.
  8. As long as you looked into it and are making an informed decision based on games you play not a bad choice by any means to go with something with a lil more power.
  9. http://hwbench.com/vgas/geforce-gtx-1050-ti-vs-geforce-gtx-1060 Seems to do just fine being playable on all games on max settings. Not everyone has to max out games at 144hz to call it playable.
  10. Don't rule out a 1050ti though check out some benchmarks. If you are going 1080 gaming and not upgrading it might do everything you want to $100 cheaper.
  11. 480 8gb if you have the $220 and don't mind the AMD Catalyst drivers. Especially if you are upgrading monitors at some point during the cards lifespan since Freesync is pretty much a free add on to new monitors where as Gsync cost either a hand or an entire arm.
  12. Black if you are not going to move the drive to the NAS afterwords. Red if you plan on moving the drive over once the NAS is built. Don't forget to look into the HGST NAS drives. WD doesn't have a monopoly on storage.
  13. I could make the same argument about the 1060 everyone is recommending. He stated the gaming goals and the 1050ti achieves all of them easily. I could see an argument for going down to a $400 build with an I3 8GB ram and a 1050ti or maybe even spend that extra savings on a SSD. I do value though things like being able to have a couple tabs of Chrome open while playing games.
  14. I5 and 16gb of ram as long as you don't need fancy stuff like aftermarket coolers and overclocking. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nLR3gL
  15. All these people putting roswill PSU apparently didn't notice that pc part picker is double applying the rebate. So they are all the cost of the rebate more expensive than it is saying, Edit: I guess I'm just insane
