I was thinking a Macro panel similar to the Logitech G15 (original not the downgraded refresh) or the Corsair K95 (original not the downgraded Platinum).

I currently daily drive a Logitech G15 (original) at work and a Corsair K95 (original) MX Brown at home. I would happily buy 2x Mountain Everest Max with the Macro Panel in MX Brown if the panel was available to replace both of them. The Logitech G15 has been trying to die for a while and the Corsair K95 doesn't have a screen on it like the Logitech does, and I'm guessing that the screen on the Mountain Everest Max will be able to be used in a similar fashion to the Logitech G15 could be.

I haven't been served a youtube ad in many years. Ad-blockers, modded APKs and more recently, Pi-Hole.

These days you don't need a large case. Just say what you are thinking of doing and people will tell you if you actually need a big case.

Just a heads up for anyone looking at this thread later, the Steelseries APEX 350 appears to be discontinued too, as it wasn't listed on the main keyboards page on the Steelseries website, however a google search found a product page link  https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-350 with a note on it "This product is no longer available."
So stock may be limited/running out if you were looking at this keyboard.

I'm personally not going to get one though, it looks interesting though, I might go down the route of getting a Cherry MX Brown(or equivalent switch) keyboard with a secondary macro board, as there doesn't appear to be any all in one items like the original Logitech G15 or original Corsair K95 anymore.

Until it is a bottleneck or doesn't suit your needs. It could be 15 years or 2 years.

Not forgetting the instances where you are not doing a single task and change the Affinity of the programs that are running so that they don't all try to use the same Core

Your problem if you're cooling both CPU and GPU off a single 120mm or 140mm radiator would be temps through the roof, not noise.

Might be able to fix that if you undervolt the shit out of both CPU and GPU.

From a Thermal Standpoint it sounds like you don't need to upgrade, however from a Noise Standpoint you might want to, find a different cooler that has the same cooling rating with less noise.

Actually for wall sockets you will need a punch down tool, not a crimp.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punch_down_tool

The actual running of the cable is the harder part, be careful not to electrocute yourself, some Countries/States it's illegal to do data cabling without a licence.

The actual mounting of plates/punch down is the easier part.

500$ - You basically have a glorified Word Processor
    1000$ - gaming on a budget
    1500$ - perf/$ sweet spot , the sane option
    2000$ -sweetspot +
3000$- really getting into diminishing returns here , good for serious editing PC
4000$ -VERY serious editing PC , WAY too much on a PC solely for gaming
5000$ -Either you have demanding and specific computing needs , or you're compensating for something ...

I already have an Oculus Headset, its the additional processing power required for the additional 3 sensors (one with the touch controllers and 2 additional) that I've ordered that I'm a tad worried about performance on, hence the upgrade.

I did say typically not, so basically leaving the opportunity to overclock when closer to the end of the life when I'm beginning to notice the limitations of the system in a few years time.

    1. You're probably right on that part.
    2. It's not that much more expensive and I don't know where you live but in Brisbane it gets very hot in summer, and the HAFx Case with the Raditor in the top exhausting the heat straight out of the case improved the ambient temp in the case by about 15C in summer when I upgraded to it on my i7 920.
    3. I typically choose the newer socket type for future upgrade availabilities (which I didn't use on the current rig but previous gaming rigs have gone through 2 or 3 chips).
    4. I've found that the performance of a RAID 0 of 2 x SSHDs has been approx equal to any single SSD of same capacity and typically cheaper.
    5. You're probably right on this part, I'll upgrade here with the money saved on the PSU
    6. Have another look I had a "2x" at the beginning of the line, so 2 twin kits.
