  1. mouse - Trusty old mx 518. Works like a charm and not planning to give it up anytime soon. mpad - Gigabyte ghost kb - G510 which has some fault that messes with the lights. hs - Coolermaster Storm Sirus 5.1 .. Fucking hate the bugs with the software this thing has.. Sometimes my mouse doesn't work, sometime kb, sometimes the hs wont work and sometimes it's a combination of the previously mentioned.
  2. It's a really cool new projector. But I'm really skeptical about how long the lamps on projectors will last.. I can't afford to be buying a new lamp every week.
  3. Not sure if it's a BIOS related issue or windows. But sometimes when I shutdown my system an error occurs(and force stops the system from shutting down). The only way to shut my system down is to alt-ctrl-del and open task manager. Only then does it bring it up and clicking ok then shutsdown my system.. This has persisted accross multiple windows reinstalls on both my HDD and my SSD's so that's why I'm thinking it's bios related.
  4. Hi. While I do think that I'm quite good when it comes to computers I've never actually updated my bios and I'm afraid of bricking my mobo.. And I really don't have the cash to get a new one if something were to happen to this one. I know it's a slightly older board, but it still gets the job done. I think I can handle the installation myself, but I'd like some help on finding just the right update so I don't mess anything up by accident. (I'll just screengrab some specs as I’m too tired to type them out...) mobo:http://gyazo.com/156a43aa9975db2f3fa00562ca47bb1b cpu: http://gyazo.com/0cc9e5c2231ae81368b19d639fc03d34 gpu: gtx 970 strix I've found myself onto http://eu.msi.com/support/mb/P67AGD55_B3.html#down-bios but I'd like to just check that It actually is the correct version of the board (I don't trust myself after I almost shorted my system out when working on it). I just grab the 4.3 version, which was released 2013.01.09? Then what? Do I have to throw it onto a USB-stick and and just reboot? or ..? I'll head off to sleep and I'll come back to this in the morning. Thank you in advance.

  6. Gimme! I'd use it for gaming, beacuse many new games benefit from more cores nowadays. And streaming is something I'd like to begin doing. My i5-2500k is still good enough for that, but kinda struggles when I run heavier games and try to stream them. And getting a new cpu to match my 970(my christmas present) would be awesome.
  7. I'll have a closer look at those 2 cards, thanks! EDIT: ACX2 seems to be silent to around 65C That's what I was thinking.. I just dont know if I'm willing to wait for the price drop(s)..
  8. Simple question, in the title. I know Asus's STRIX model has the 0% fan mode, but the damn thing costs a fortune. (did it have a price increase? I dont remember it being ~400-430€ before..) But are there any other models which have a similar mode? Im really looking into building a silent system for myself this christmas. Thanks!
  9. Congratz on 1 million subs! I hopped aboard the LTT/NCIX train back when you reviewed the Fractal design r3 case. Still using it today. I lurk in the forums usually, very rarely posting though. Also I've got 4 dogs and I love tacos.
  10. My Steam Profile (from SteamDB) Worth: 1529,46€ Games owned: 142 Games not played: 74 (52%) Hours spent: 3,207.8h
  11. Well then, thats not an option anymore either. Completely screwed then, I guess.. Unless there is something similar to hamachi out there. Appriciate you taking your time to read through my post though.
  12. So I just want to play some gmod with a couple of friends but I'm unable to create a game to which my friends could join. Tried searching the web for guides but most were outdated and the one that were up to date didn't work. I have basic knowledge of networking & computers but I'm not a genious when it comes to them(particularly the networking part). I also can't be bothered with a dedicated server since I'm seriously limited on space on my hard drives and just want to play every now and then.. So having a listen server(that only runs when my game is on) that would just work would be very convenient What I've done so far? -Portfowarded the required ports, both UDP and TCP -Enabled upnp & nat(were already enabled for other reasons) -Tried using different ingame console commands with no success (sv_nat, heartbeat, etc.) -Disabled firewall(s) -Tried a different modem (which I also portfowarded) My server isn't showing up on the server browser and doesn't respond when my friends try to connect it through steam. And connection fails if they try to connect directly to my ip. And now I dont know what to do anymore.. My friends are dumbasses and wont download hamachi for some frikken reason(Although I'd like to avoid using it completely, if possible).. My pc is plugged directly to the modem(TW-EA501 or my 2nd modem, TW-EA501- B). I'm running win7. Am I missing something really obvious here or is there something I still need to do? Perhaps enable some setting(s) in my modem or use some cmds in gmod? idk, I'm all out of ideas at this point... Thanks.
