  1. well, ryzen will most prolly beat intel with zen 3. and it will be a drop in upgrade with a b450 board, but on intel he'll have to buy a new one.
  2. https://www.gpucheck.com/compare-game-cpu/fortnite-battle-royale/intel-core-i5-9600k-3-70ghz-vs-amd-ryzen-7-3700x he's playing fortnite
  3. I 100% agree with him. Ryzen 4000 will probably beat Intel in performance. The R 4600 be the best gaming cpu for 200 bucks. You'll have a great upgrade path.
  4. his recommendation is spot on. Although for the PSU I'll advise you to wait until you find a banger deal (650w - 800w, gold, $80-$90) cuz buying a higher end psu will give you peace of mind and it will probably last longer and have better warranty. You also will not have to worry about power requirements cuz 99% of the systems will run easily on 600w of power
  5. Yea, your cpu is definitely a bottleneck. But before upgrading, ask yourself, is 180fps enough? Do you actually have 180hz+ monitor to view all those frames? There's no point upgrading if you cannot see the benefit. If you have to upgrade, an MSI b450 board (tomahawk and gaming max are very good) and a R 3600, or a 3700x if you actually wanna do some work like editing vids of blendering. I cannot recommend intel cuz the upgrade path is non existent ATM
  6. Ok. So, avoid the strix like it's the plague cuz that board's vrms perform terribly. The MSI b450 tomahawk is the best b450 board for ~100 bucks. If you don't really wanna overclock, just go with the board that has all the features you want. The x570 will have the most features, if you can afford it, it's not that bad.
  7. maybe tell us your price range and we may be able to help you
  8. Hey Muzik, I really love your build! It's exactly as I would build it. I just have one thing to say, wait for the reviews of the A500 before buying (price also). If it performs well, then go for it; otherwise go for the nh-u12a (single tower dual fan compact beast) or the nh-d15. If you don't like the noctua colour scheme you can go with the black chromax version. If it's too expensive for you the dark rock pro 4 also performs very well. Also take my advise with a grain of salt cuz I'm a midrange-noctua-fanboy ?
  9. Thank you sir, this is exactly what I will do
  10. Ok, thx so much for the help really appreciate it dude
  11. ok, so it not that long, I don't need to reinstall any apps or reconfigure windows settings do I?
  12. Hello everyone, hope you guys are doin' good. So I plan to install my 1660 super into my system tomorrow and I want to know what the best way to get rid of the old drivers (RX460) and install new ones. Do I really need to use DDU or can I just use the built-in uninstaller and do it that way. And are there any things that I should stay away from. BTW: I can even reinstall windows if absolutely needed but I prefer not cuz I don't wanna re install all the apps just yet. I will eventually do it but tomorrow is not the day. All help is appreciated, thankyou very much :)
  13. But weren't all the projects posted on Youtube? cuz I didn't link my social media in the description or anything.
  14. Have the winners been announced yet or any officail news that has come by? Just curious.
  15. it's not low quality per say, but it's endurance is lower cuz it's qlc
  16. Or an x470 if you wanna get some overclocking done, some x470 boards have better vrm cooling. I'd go with the intel 660p cuz it pcie instead of sata (but it really doesn't matter for gaming). And keep $100 for a hard drive, when you see a 6tb one for sale, grab it, it's really handy to store movies and large files.
  17. You can use it, yes it is compatible. But I'd advise an x470chipset if you want to use the same motherboard down the road cuz a higher quality board will last longer
  18. Ma man, why on earth are you going with an apu if you already have a gpu. Get a r5 2600(x, which ever fits your budget) since you're using blender and adobe. Adobe likes cores and blender loves them. More cores also mean that you can multitask easily ( I'm having massive issues with that on my i3, which I bought back in 2016) Here's my 2 cents: Buy either a good cpu or gpu so that it lasts you longer (such as an r7 2700, 180 bucks on Amazon) and when you have enuf money just buy the other part that you need. This way both parts will be higher end and will last you for longer. If you mostly game, just get a better gpu (personally, I'd go with a used 1070, 1070ti or 1080 or if your budget is lower go for a vega 56, cuz GCN has been really good for professional workloads) but if you use blender and adobe more go with a cpu (again I personally would go used, very easy to snag an x470 board and a ryzen 2700(x) for ~250 bucks) that has more cores such as the r2700 or r2600(if budget is tight) and a b450 board. It all depends on your workflow and how easy it is for you to get your hands on parts
  19. If you are gaming; in productivity I doubt that it will be bottlenecked unless doing something over-the-top like video editing with RAW files or something like that
  20. If you guys (LTT) install brave, then you guys can apply for the brave rewards program ( doesn't take too much effort). It's really easy to donate to you guys this way, cuz it's right from the browser. I don't have a bank account and as much as I like LTT I can't do anything to support my favourite creators, it would be really nice if I could donate via Brave (it's a pretty decent browser also). Here are a bunch of links going more into detail (cuz I feel I've been quite incoherent): <links removed>
