  1. lowing the ram frequency solved the problem. I'm gonna try resetting bios, kind of sucks how ryzen is so picky with what ram works or not.
  2. This what event viewer is saying: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x00000c0000000018, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff8045469fe7b). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: ca17ce99-9d8b-49fb-8761-876179064258. I'm not sure what any of that means. I did install another ram stick yesterday, it's from the same OEM with same speed. The build specs: amd ryzen 1600, asrock b450m pro4, ripjaws V 16gb , gigabyte radeon rx570 Edit: I had the ram clocked at 2400 from 2133 ( that's what the memory was clocked at initially). Since it's 2400mhz ram it should be able to run at that speed. Do you think that's what's causing the issue? I clocked it back to 2133 to see if it crashes again.
  3. Still rocking my 1080 fe, running like beast still.
  4. Update: I went to a local pc shop and they tested the cpu and motherboard. It works, so it's a faulty psu, I regret not bringing the psu there also. Oh, well was hoping to have it up and running by this weekend.
  5. I'm building an ryzen 5 1600 build using asrock b450 pro4 motherboard with rx 570 gpu. I'm also using 750w powersupply from powerspec. I tested the powersupply using the wire method and the fan of the psu spins. So, I'm thinking it's either a dead motherboard or cpu. I'm linking youtube video of the weird sound that it makes. I'm thinking of going to a local pc parts place and have them check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccJljRRYOjA
  6. Hey guys, I was looking for a gaming laptop, but after awhile almost all the gaming laptops that I tried had problems. So, I gave up on getting a portable gaming laptop. (since I already got a beast of gaming rig). Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a dell xps 15, to replace my current macbook pro 13(2013) that I'm using. Should I wait for the new xps 15, which probably be much expensive than the old model. I can get the current one for 1900 dollars. I'm an EE student, and xps 15 should be overkill for me, since I gotten almost through my program using a mac lol... old xps 15
  7. if you overclock the razer blade , it will go from being a stove to being nuclear. I would say go for msi gs63vr.
  8. Well, since OP isn't worried about the high temperature, it can be consider a 3-in-1. Laptop, heater and a stove.
  9. edit: ignore the yoga 910 it doesn't support thunderbolt 3, which is a shame.
  10. The new macbook pros have some weird battery issues, where they aren't even getting 6hrs.
  11. Msi gs63vr does throttle but, not as heavily like the razer blade does, and battery life isn't great like the new alienware 15. The fan noise is way less compared to the razer blade, which keeps it's fan running constantly. On the gs63vr the fan only kicks in when needed, it doesn't constantly run in the background. I ended up returning my gs63vr, cause I couldn't get used the layout of the keyboard, the space bar is big flawed. Meaning you have to press it in the right place, can't press anyway on it. Which pissed me off, other than that, it's a really decent laptop ( if you can get used to the keyboard layout). edit:Doh, I meant the space bar
  12. check out msi gs63vr, it's a nice option.
