  1. Recently bought a new system

    gigabyte b85 ds3h A mobo

    xfx radeon r9 290

    core i3

    16gb crucial ram

    crucial ssd 120gb

The system runs fine when run from motherboard HDMI. As soon as I plug the gpu HDMI the monitor shows green lines on the screen and random artifacts.

After some time the entire display goes off but just the hdd light is ON.

Any idea what the problem could be?

  2. Sccesfully got my lane working... All I did was completely remove the system power and re start, everytime I relog without completely removing power from motherboard the lan stops working. my dynamic and static ip gets kind of overwritten for some reason and make the Ethernet un detectable. so powering off completely wipes everything I guess.

  3. I had almost the same problem with seasonic 500 w so was checking for loose fittings. Installed the PSU and I saw sparks after switching on the system. It's better to send them for a RMA before it gets out of control.

  4. a formula board has a completely different driver because the hardware is different. Windows 10 is gonna throw some wrenches in the works when it comes to drivers, as seen on previous builds with sound issues. My advice is to back it down to 7 or 8.1 and wait for ten to be released and asus to update its driver packs.

I want to test some programs on win 10. That's the reason I installed the preview. If I get back to win 7 and install win 10 after release using the reserve option I still have to wait for the drivers which I don't know how long it will take Asus to release .

  5. So did you try to install the drivers again? If you did you should try running the driver in compatibility mode by right clicking the .exe, clicking "properties" at the bottom, then clicking the compatibility tab to choose it in compatibility mode for windows 7. if that doesn't work you may need to go back to Windows 7, Windows 10 is still in beta and isn't guaranteed to work right now. It may not even work once fully released either as drivers may have to be updated for windows 10 first.

Yes i did reinstall all drivers .I haven't tried the compatiblity option yet I'll try it .thanks for the reply :)

  6. Thanks for the reply guys

Some places only charge on items over a certain amount, two examples below.

NZ  : It's $400+ (they charge 15% and they told me they only charge if they'll get $60 or more.
Aus : I've been told by many people that there are no fees on items under $1000

I think there are import duty charges in Australia for items below 1000$ because I remember my friend paying it.

  7. The article says that AMD has just now finalized the technology so that's why,

Principle engineer at Hynix says it will be introduced with new GPUs and we know for a fact that Maxwell will not have stacked DRAM, and we now know that AMD will have stacked DRAM on their upcoming architecture.

This means AMD will have stacked DRAM all to their selves in 2014 and 2015 until Volta shows up in 2016.

It's about execution..hope it's not like Hawaii where u have to sacrifice something (noise , temperature) to get a good gpu
