  1. I'm extremely happy with my 7900XTX. It runs all AAA titles at max settings 3840x1600p at over 100FPS all the time. Ray Tracing is something I never took seriously since it has way too much of a performance hit and in a lot of cases, doesn't provide that much of a difference. I've owned RTX3090 before that, trust me, I know. If you have the cash to spare, go for 7900 xtx. If not, whatever is better price / performance wise. Personally, I can't use DLSS or FSR since I see the difference. There is no magic GPU juice that just gives you extra FPS without any drawback. I can assume so-called "Frame generation" also has some drawbacks like increased latency or similar. My philosophy has always been the same - if you can't natively run a given resolution, just get a monitor with lower res, or don't complain.
  2. I've noticed it's a couple of weeks ago. But trying both 1080p and 1080p with higher bitrate I didn't see any difference. I've tried my phone - Pixel 7 Pro, my 1600p monitor and 4k TV. An average users will never spot the difference between the two. It's just another sketchy way to make people buy Premium
  3. I can only say from my very limited experience, but so far it runs as expected. Setting RAM to 6000 worked with no issues. So far in CPU-intensive games stability seems to be great. I will be playing with CPU overclocking next week to see how it works out.
  4. Don't how how useful it is, or if you bought the RAM, but maybe AMD EXPO is more of a "stable" choice of RAM if you're worried about stability issues
  5. I just built a system yesterday with 7800X3D on Asus Strix B650E-E, 32GB 6000Mhz and it doesn't seem to have any issues (So far), but it's out of the price range. There are Asus TUF B650s with WiFi for around 230-250, x2 4.0 slots. I built a system on that board for a friend of mine a few months ago, it runs great with 32 gigs 6000Mhz in all games and some video editing. Not a fan of MSI boards in general. Somewhat clunky Bios and lack of some features. Gigabyte is a solid option.
  6. Have you tried disabling those options, turning the PC off and trying to plug mouse into different USB ports? Maybe your board keeps power into certain ports.
  7. From this reddit post. Although they're figuring out how to keep power when system if OFF. " In Bios go to : Settings/ Advanced/Power Management Setup and Enable ErP Ready then go to Wake Up Event Setup and enable Resume by USB device That’s how you get power in USB ports while standby mode on this board."
  8. Try searching through Bios. In my case (Asus mobo) it's in Onboard Device config. Search through your Bios and you might find it. Googling MSI mobos will help faster
  9. I think most (If not all) motherboards have a USB power delivery option for when the system is off. You should be able to change that in the Bios.
  10. All if it together. I will try push/pull rad for now. Will do some testing with push/pull and push fans to see how it affects temps. If I can leave all 4 fans on idle for 7800x3d, I will leave all 4 in
  11. Current build. And so it begins, taking it's guts out. 9900k, 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz
  12. So just received my parts for a major upgrade. Was expecting them next week, but got a surprise call from courier about delivery today... While I was at work. Very nice to finish and go on my weekend. Will keep it updated when building if anyone is interested.
  13. Wait really? My bad then. AMD numbering scheme is as confusing as ever
  14. No, you don't have to update your Bios since both CPUs are from the same generation. If you had 5000 series CPU, then you have to update the Bios.
  15. Looks good, but I personally would change 2 things 1 - Swap the air cooler for a beefy AIO if you plan on running alot of pressure on that 13900k, especially with OC 2 - My personal opinion, but not a fan of that case. Big, expensive and not well designed in my opinion.
  16. I don't own it, but had a chance to daily drive it for a couple of weeks. I've been using standard G502 Lightspeed for almost 2 years and liking every second of it. I don't like it because it has that RGB strip dividing the body into 3 parts. Its imbedded fairly deep into the mouse making it feel uncomfortable since (Personal grip, your results may vary) my palm rests right on the edges, making it uncomfortable after playing for a little while. Rubber pad under the thumb area is also kinda meh compared to original 502. Its a simple linear pattern compared to more unique triangle shapes used in the original. This makes mouse a little harder to grip if you're playing FPS on low sensitivity and have to move it alot. Sensor feels the same, as does everything else "Internally". USB C cable is indeed a nice touch if thats important to you. My brother bought this mouse as a replacement oh his old G402 Hyperion Fury which he used for 6 years until it gave up. He ended up offering it to me for the same reasons that I didn't like it - annoying rubber on both sides and deep cut that goes through the entire body of the mouse. I ended up asking him for my old G502 Lightspeed back and he ended up returning X Plus model and getting a regular 502 Lightspeed for half the price of X Plus model. As a side note, for me C cable means +1 because I use micro USB for both G502 and G915 Lightspeed keyboard.
  17. Hey everyone So I've just finished building a PC for a friend. It runs greats, performance is what you would expect from a top tier rig. One problem I've noticed though is GPU Junction temp always stays in high 80s, sometimes even passing 90c when gaming. Do you know if this is normal? GPU temp itself is at lovely 60-64c when going full tilt 4k Hogwarts Legacy. Case is H5 Flow with x2 140mm intake silent wing 3s + 120mm toilet bowl. x3 120mm exhausts (Also silent wings). CPU is also staying nice and cool with 240mm AIO Specs R9 7950x 64GB DDR5 7900xtx Corsair RM1000e PSU NZXT H5 Flow
  18. @QuantumSingularity @Eigenvektor @PDifolco @RONOTHAN## Thank you all for answering. We ended up ordering PowerColor Red Devil 7900XTX since it went on sale and ended up cheaper than Sapphire Pulse model while having much beefier cooling.
  19. Hi all I'm planning a build for a friend with Sapphire Pulse 7900XTX as he requested. The issue it that I've heard horror stories of AMD GPUs going through some nasty breakdowns and some thermal issues. But since I wasn't following these stories, I'd like to hear from you lot about it. Rig I'm planning is for gaming. Mainly Warzone2.0 and single player titles like Hogwarts, Elder Ring etc
  20. Absolutely not. I've heard about USB cards being trash, and still managed to experience it myself. Moved into my new house, I used USB stick for my wifi before I got ethernet cables setup around the rooms. This was borderline useless. Signal was perfect on my phone, yet the stick was barely catching it. As the result ping was atrocious. So if you're looking to play competitive games over wifi, get a decent PCI-E card
  21. Hello fellow forum members So this is my last ditch effort to fix this issue. It goes like this - Witcher 3 Next Gen update has very muffled / low quality sound effect when your sword hits the enemy. This issue is not present in the 1.32 update (Last update before Next gen). I've seen many people having this issue, but most of them solved it by either turning off audio enchantments, Dolby Atmos or other audio features on both condoles and PCs. In my case nothing worked. I've tried everything. Turning on/off all of the sounds settings, using USB and optical inputs, fiddling with game settings and audio quality settings. Using Atmos completely messes up the game even more, so I don't use that in this game. Yes its very annoying and no I cannot just ignore it. Its this small detail that ruins the entire game for me. Maybe someone has a miracle cure for this issue? Here is the video of it. Turn down the volume before turning it on, I've recorded on max so that you can hear what I'm talking about.
